The Readiness Is All: The Big Girl Bed Transition
http://megangelic.blogspot.com/2014/07/the-big-girl-bed-transition.html
The Readiness Is All. I'm trying to find truth in words, in rhymes, in notes, in all the things I wish I wrote. - The Format. Monday, July 21, 2014. The Big Girl Bed Transition. If this sounds like the most boring topic ever, feel free to skip this post. What do your big girl sheets have? And things like that. Horsie sheets are so exciting. This is what her bed looked like when I took her back to her room after she broke out. I left her with about 3 books. This is how she was sleeping when I checked on h...

The Readiness Is All. I'm trying to find truth in words, in rhymes, in notes, in all the things I wish I wrote. - The Format. Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Why I Would Consider Having Our Next Kid Somewhere Other Than a Hospital. In an attempt to be fair while writing this post, I gave it a couple of days so that it wouldn't just be a raging spewing of fury. But it is still going to be lengthy and ranty, so if you don't want to read it, I won't be offended. So here's the story. Both bills looked really sim...

The Readiness Is All. I'm trying to find truth in words, in rhymes, in notes, in all the things I wish I wrote. - The Format. Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Miss D, 6-8 Months. Sigh Poor, poor second baby. Sorry I stink at the updates. I partially blame my lack of laptop, but mostly it's just that when both kids are finally in bed I just want to watch cooking shows instead of sitting at a computer. It looks like soon I'm going to have better laptop access though, so fingers crossed for next month! We put a blan...

The Readiness Is All. I'm trying to find truth in words, in rhymes, in notes, in all the things I wish I wrote. - The Format. Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Miss D, 4 Months. And CB quickly piped up, "I love you, D! Mommy loves you all the time! It's so clear that you love each other, even though you're both so young. I've been much less concerned about getting you on a firm schedule, which is probably why, but honestly, CB really seemed to need one and you seem to be much more able to go with the flow, gra...

Musings of an engineer. Beware. Saturday, February 13, 2010. Nigeria Trip - Part 2. Here are two pictures of a fabrication yard in Port Harcourt:. Those tubes are huge suction piles. You sink those into the ocean floor to keep a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel from drifting. They act as anchors. The camp where we stayed in Port Harcourt was like a little oasis:. The people are just in poverty. Below are some more pictures:. Here are some pictures from Warri:. I think one of the ...

Musings of an engineer. Beware. Monday, May 30, 2011. Russia Trip May 23-27, 2011. I had my first opportunity to go to Russia this last week. Not Moscow, not St. Petersburg, but Yuzhno on Sakhalin island. The trip was for business, as we went up to Yuzhno for a workshop and then traveled on up to our Onshore Processing Facility (OPF) that is near the top of the island. (Sorry the map is all grainy). Here was my schedule:. Leave for the airport at 4:40 AM. Busan to Seoul (7:30-8:30 AM). Upon arriving in Y...

A way to effectively waste time when there's something productive to be done. Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Dream Theater is one of my favorite bands. I love their music! http://bryceandlaurenhoffman.blogspot.com/2014/06/late-nights.html
Wednesday, June 18, 2014. With summertime finally here, Charlotte and Grady and I have been getting out and doing some fun things. There are a lot of activities that I'm excited to experience as a family this summer. Last year, C&G were still too little to really enjoy events or out of the ordinary activities. Now they're running around like crazy and excited to see and explore everything! I can't wait for all the memories we'll make this summer. :). There is no doubt in my mind you are a great Mommy!
Dangerous Magoo!: August 2010
http://jasonsmcgee.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Musings of an engineer. Beware. Saturday, August 28, 2010. As part of a safety precaution when we are fabricating pipe, we have a hydro test, where we pump water in to the pipe at 1.5 times the operating pressure, to make sure that the pipe will hold up to any problems. This is me standing by our pipe we are pressure testing. This is another one of those projects I was completely in charge of (but not without mentoring). Thursday, August 12, 2010. This just made me laugh. I mean, I work for Exxon! The Ey...
