The Right and Kind Reverend: Turning down the noise
http://right-and-kind.blogspot.com/2011/07/turning-down-noise.html
The Right and Kind Reverend. Start as you mean to go on. Saturday, July 09, 2011. Turning down the noise. I was perusing the forums at Bhuz*. And I came across an incredibly helpful reading recommendation from Ozma. A student dancer was explaining how her old teacher had helped her to get out of her own head (my words) regarding dancing. In response, Ozma recmmended the book How to Dance Forever. So, know your moves! How many times have you fumbled your dancing because you didn't know the music? And no, ...

The Right and Kind Reverend. Start as you mean to go on. Monday, July 12, 2010. Where have I been? Where have I been? My awesome parents decided to give me a chunk of change and tell me to get busy buying a house while the interest rates are good. So I spent March - May looking, hoping and freaking out about ever finding a home I liked and could afford. And then I found one! So now I'm living in a house full of boxes and Very Concerned Cats, but eventually that will clear out and I'll be back to practici...

The Right and Kind Reverend: January 2011
http://right-and-kind.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
The Right and Kind Reverend. Start as you mean to go on. Saturday, January 22, 2011. Is it a habit yet? Isn't there some saying about it takes 21 days for a new action to become a habit? Manage to floss every night for 21 days and you're home free? Get up at a new time for 21 mornings and you're all set? Well, it's been 21 days of added activity, and though I can see that the momentum of doing it one day to the next is keeping my forward motion, I would not say it's a habit. Yet. Links to this post.

Cervid Dance: Workshops & An Unintentional Air of Tribal
http://cerviddance.blogspot.com/2014/04/workshops-unintentional-air-of-tribal.html
Saturday, April 5, 2014. Workshops and An Unintentional Air of Tribal. I finally had the opportunity to take a workshop with Amala Gameela. Of the Lehigh Valley, PA on December 15th. As far as I'm aware, she's one of the few teachers in the area who specifically teaches Egyptian style (most others I know of teach either American Cabaret or some form of Improvisational Tribal, hence my own dance background). Although I've tried my best to expose myself to the quintessential raks sharqi. Considered disresp...
