Let the Wild Rumpus Start! | Out To Sea
https://thedatinggirl.wordpress.com/2010/12/01/let-the-wild-rumpus-start
December 1, 2010. Let the Wild Rumpus Start! So, I signed back up for Match.com as it’s my “go to” dating site. For the past six years whenever I’m single six months of dating always finds me not single even if I don’t meet the person through the site. It’s kind of strange, but maybe once you open yourself to the possibility of finding someone the universe takes a hint. Here is what my profile currently says:. I should probably start by saying that I was raised in a military home. I’m definitely no...

Owie | Out To Sea
https://thedatinggirl.wordpress.com/2010/03/20/owie
March 20, 2010. No one likes rejection, but I try to be as gentle and honest as possible when in the process of ending things. What I usually say is this:. You are wonderful/sweet/amazing, but you’re just not the one for me. Thank you for (whatever activity we did) and I really hope you find your girl soon. 1 What do you mean I’m not the one for you? What makes you so darn special, huh? 2 Who are you to tell me that I’m not the one for you? You’re an idiot! 3 Whatever. I didn’t like you anyways. I once t...

Taking Back Sundays | Out To Sea
https://thedatinggirl.wordpress.com/2010/03/28/taking-back-sundays
March 28, 2010. September 10, 2006. Part Two of the Bunny Boiler Series. Sunday rolls around and my phone receives two phone calls from Date. I’m cranky because the calls woke me up and that’s the last position anyone in my life wants to be in. Luckily, I just rolled over and fell back into a pseudo sleep with dreams that I can’t quite remember. He’s going to go play basketball and wanted to spend some time with me at some point in the day. And realize I’ve got a voice mail and a couple of text messages.

Soulard Market | (Mis)Adventures For Two
https://misadventuresfortwo.wordpress.com/2010/11/04/soulard-market
One Boy. One Girl. Too Many Misadventures. November 4, 2010. Historic St. Louis (aka Soulard) has beautiful architecture, wonderful places to eat, but what really has Alex and I coming back is the year-round market. The most delicious brats. Tons of fruit stands. A Butcher with Alligator sausage (Ask Alex, I’ve had Gator and wasn’t interested in it.). This delicious spice shop that also sells speciality coffee beans. Jess was too afraid to touch the fruit in fear it would all tumble down.

Jess | (Mis)Adventures For Two
https://misadventuresfortwo.wordpress.com/jess
One Boy. One Girl. Too Many Misadventures. Jess is…potentially the strangest person you will ever meet. Her view of the world is slanted, skewed, and she is simultaneously light and dark in unexpected ways. She’s pretty much amazing. At the moment the person who loves her best in the world is deployed. This is his fourth deployment in seven years and the last words he said before leaving were “You are everything good in my life. I’m fighting to come home to you.”. Or http:/ www.soldiersangels.org. You ar...

Last Time | (Mis)Adventures For Two
https://misadventuresfortwo.wordpress.com/2010/11/15/last-time
One Boy. One Girl. Too Many Misadventures. November 15, 2010. This weekend will be the last time I see my best friend for a good long while. Such is the military life. Someone always leaves. What it all means for this space that Alex’s posts will be sparse. He’ll do his best, he always does, and writing here is one way of his showing that he cares but time will be a precious commodity. So, St. Louis…batten down the hatches! Alex and I are coming your way! Laquo; Veterans Day. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Christmas Cookies 2011 | Present History
https://presenthistory.wordpress.com/2011/11/29/christmas-cookies-2011
Documenting yet another self-involved quarter life crisis! Laquo; Faceless Characters. November 29, 2011 by mr. Unlike previous years, when I was chomping at the bit waiting for the Christmas season to begin, I am not really feeling Christmas this year. It just seems like a lot of work and a lot of money, and I would probably rather go take a nap. I am already feeling ready for Christmas to be over, which is not my typical attitude. Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies. White Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies. You ar...
