Friday, August 17, 2007. Hello From Brisbane, Australia! Have had no time really to post any big updates.and not much time now, so I will try to be brief! Just spent over a week in Thailand, and absolutely LOVED it! It is so beautiful there, and the food is delicious! I also had a Thai massage on the beach for $7 for one hour! We spent one day in Bangkok - but were pretty tired from the travelling, so we spent most of it indoors shopping and wandering! So nice to see a familiar face! Hope all is well!

So while all of you were stuffing your faces with turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, veggies, pumpkin pieetc etc I was off to Osaka for the long weekend visiting with some people from Ottawa! Tuesday, September 19, 2006. Elementary School Visit #3 - Ainoura Elementary School. So today I had my first visit to a "real" elementary school (real being that there were more than 15 students! I had three grade 6 classes to teach - and they were wonderful! They asked lots of questions and seemed pretty enthused about the games and such. Monday, August 07, 2006. Settling in Sasebo, Nagasaki. So I'm finally here! All the preparations and packing is done (thanks for the help mom! And the good-byes said. Anyways so we got on, had our fantastic Subway and also went into the Exchange (which was sort of like Walmart) also a wonderful experience. Thursday, July 9, 2009. June DB: Bakewell Tart. The June Daring Bakers' challenge was hosted by Jasmine of Confessions of a Cardamom Addict and Annemarie of Ambrosia and Nectar. They chose a Traditional (UK) Bakewell Tart. er. pudding that was inspired by a rich baking history dating back to the 1800's in England. Bakewell tarts…er…puddings combine a number of dessert elements but still let you show off your area’s seasonal fruits. I also prefered them cold as opposed to warm as recommended in the recipe.
