Tuesday, March 31, 2009. What a long day! I am so excited to have that behind me. Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Today was a good day. Both of my patients showed up! I was able to see my patient that is coming for mock boards and that went very well. I was also able to clean 2 quads of a class 4, which was a challenge for me. The calculus was very tenacious, so I was able to learn alot from this patient. I think I am done with my exams for class 3's and 4's now. That feels good. Tuesday, March 3, 2009.

Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Today my patient didn't want x-rays, even though he needed them. It was a little frusterating. I have had two patients already who have refused x-rays even when I tell them that they would benefit from them. The ultrasonic scaler works very well on mandibular anterior lingual teeth on tenacious calculus. I did have to go over and hand scale, but it was much easier. Wednesday, January 16, 2008. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. My class 3 patient was a good experience. He is going to be my mock board! I was able to clean two quads today so I hope I am ready for next Tuesday. He seems to be a good patient. He remembered to come and was on time. Hopefully that is how it works out on mock board day. Thursday, September 25, 2008. Today I had a class 4 patient and it was hard. I started off ultrasonicing, but I was using the wrong insert. Always start with the hardest and strongest insert if the patient is hard. Thursday, September 18, 2008. Thursday, September 11, 2008. Today went very well for me. Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Last Class 2 exam. Today I had a good morning. My patient was a class 2 and I only needed four more quadrants of a class 2 exam. I am so excited to be getting close to be done with my class 2 and 5. I only missed one spot. My patient was very nice and so cooperative; that makes the appointment go by so smooth. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. My afternoon patient ended up being a class 4. I took a full mouth, which seems to take a lot of time and I cleaned one quadrant. It was the toughest calculus that I have cleaned yet! 160;It was a good experience for me. He'll come back in a couple of weeks. I also got finished with my anesthesia requirements. Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Today we had lab in clinic and we learned more about ultrasonics. I really needed to go over how to use the diagnodent, so that part of lab was very useful. We also went over insurance codes and we talked about the diagnodent and removable prothethis. It was helpful to go over a few things and get things straightened out in my head. Tuesday, April 14, 2009. I was kind of excited because I had people to come in for screenings, but that excitement was short lived. I really wanted to find my board patient. I guess I still have a little bit of time, but I don't know if I can take the pressure. I am getting so nervous. I will just keep trying. Yeah, I need to remember to do the same things you mentioned on the PSA and IA too. That's where I made my mistakes. And you'll find a board pt soon. I'll for sure let you know if I find anyone.
