This sweet little tapestry bag for my collection was only $5 at Vinnies. All my vintage bag collection are charity shop purchases. It's always exciting when Etsy purchases arrive in the mail. Our new home brought with it a new garden. a lovely level block with a good few established fruit tress and plenty of shrubs and succulents (and the simply stunning Sturt Desert Peas sprouting under the Hills Hoist). One of the first things on our 'to do' list was to get a few plants in the ground so they could get growing and producing. Vegie seeds are planted in a concrete sink topped with an old window. We've fertilised, pruned and mulched the oranges, lemon, cumquot and fig.

Happy 452nd Birthday Will. Shakespeare’s birthday is upon us, and to honor the bard I would like to write down some thoughts about him. I am currently teaching. Graders and I taught. It’s like someone punches me in the gut every time they say these things. What is the message Shakespeare is trying to get across. Is it about love? Tuesday, September 20, 2016. We have had record breaking rain this week , after 2 years of drought, and we have been lucky not to have flood damage like some hills towns. The garden is a little slower to bloom this year as it is wetter and cooler. Spring posy from the garden. The weeping cherry tree beginning to blossom. Dark moody wet day. Buddleia in full flower. The lawn is to wet and boggy to mow this week. Saturday country drive and some wonderful scenery. Having a good scratch! Links to this post.
