Archive for October, 2008. Thoughts before a year goes by. Its 225am…and I’m awake. I leave for Asia in ten hours, but I havent’s slept in almost 18. I am tired, but I cannot sleep. My dad was telling me of the different routes we could take to our hotel in Tokyo. I feel he is most concerned and I appreciate this. In fact, if I look at the signs it almost seems like the world is telling me not to stay in Bangkok. First, the ridiculous demonstrations around the city make work and play without the play less exciting. Next, there was an apparent bomb threat or supposed bombs near my work area? After talking to one of my supervisors, they seemed confused as to when I would actually begin to work for my big baht. Oh yeah, did I mention that I want to learn Mandarin? Seemingly, what is the best option: job or no job?
