Art Journal Journey: July 2012
http://artjournaljourney.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Exploration - never take it too seriously. Never under estimate it's importance. Thursday, July 26, 2012. A few weeks ago I found myself feeling really bleh. For no particular reason, just bleh.so I decided to play in my journal until I feel better. No art involved, just getting fingers dirty. Maybe that is all I needed. Now the page makes me smile as I recall the evening. Win win. Gotta love that! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Christmas Card - More Poinsettias.

Art Journal Journey: June 2015
http://artjournaljourney.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Exploration - never take it too seriously. Never under estimate it's importance. Sunday, June 28, 2015. ICAD June 2015 - Week 04. The month is speeding by. I find I have less time than expected, so I'll see about doing July or not. I'd like to though. Prompts appealing to me this week, relates to fabric and wall papers etc. The full lists of prompts can be found HERE. For fabric I looked for small cut offs that I have around and pieces that were not yet secured into my art journal! Another piece of fabri...

Art Journal Journey: ICAD July 2015 Week 06
http://artjournaljourney.blogspot.com/2015/07/icad-july-2015-week-06.html
Exploration - never take it too seriously. Never under estimate it's importance. Monday, July 13, 2015. ICAD July 2015 Week 06. This week's prompts are for a series of board games. Find all the details HERE. I like the graphic quality of board game designs and decided to play with those a bit. And coloured pencils. No collage this week. All of them to have that checkered border stamped around, hand drawn and coloured with pencils. Draughts (checkers) This one sure brought back childhood memories! Christm...

Art Journal Journey: November 2011
http://artjournaljourney.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Exploration - never take it too seriously. Never under estimate it's importance. Saturday, November 19, 2011. ATC and circus…to me the 2 together are a no brainer. ATC’s are so much fun to make and the imagery of the circus so rich that I suspect I could make a dozen cards at least and not get tired of them. Ildi Geist’s goodies again provided me with ample fodder for this one (products used are no longer available). Ildi has a great new Page Set coming out tomorrow. I feel an ATC coming on!

Art Journal Journey: April 2013
http://artjournaljourney.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Exploration - never take it too seriously. Never under estimate it's importance. Monday, April 15, 2013. Sadly neglected this blog, but I am journaling. In one way or another. Also sad is how busy my life is that I seldom get the chance to post stuff. That is just no fun. At least I am ‘good’ busy. I recently found a hard cover discarded book in good condition. I see an altered book in my future! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Christmas Card - More Poinsettias.

Art Journal Journey: ICAD June 2015 Week 03
http://artjournaljourney.blogspot.com/2015/06/icad-june-2015-week-03.html
Exploration - never take it too seriously. Never under estimate it's importance. Sunday, June 21, 2015. ICAD June 2015 Week 03. The prompts for this week did nothing for me, but I did like the technique prompts which called for collage. I always have bits and pieces of interesting papers and 'stuff' around. It is more a matter of making the choices than that of finding something! From here on I cut, tore, painted, sprayed and otherwise altered the original print. More gecko and more grainy water colours&...

Art Journal Journey: November 2013
http://artjournaljourney.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Exploration - never take it too seriously. Never under estimate it's importance. Thursday, November 28, 2013. Love Knows No Distance. Commiserating with my Mom many years ago, I mentioned how huge the physical distance between us is. She reminded me that love knows no distance. It doesn't change because we are separated by many miles. I used Gypsy Couture's new kit 'Hypnotic Soul'. For the page. The alpha is from her 'HoHoRetro' kit. (Kit no longer available). Art Journal Journey: ICAD July 2015 - Week 09
http://artjournaljourney.blogspot.com/2015/07/icad-july-2015-week-09.html
Exploration - never take it too seriously. Never under estimate it's importance. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. ICAD July 2015 - Week 09. And so the ICAD for this year has come to an end. It has been interesting, enjoyable, boring, annoying, refreshing - you get the idea-. Is where the details are listed. A piece of 'desk protector' paper found it's way one this one. This clearly dates from the 'mud' stenciling week. More protector sheets, some hand carved stamps and paint splats. I finished it this way round...

Art Journal Journey: ICAD June - July 2015 Week 05
http://artjournaljourney.blogspot.com/2015/07/icad-june-july-2015-week-05.html
Exploration - never take it too seriously. Never under estimate it's importance. Sunday, July 5, 2015. ICAD June - July 2015 Week 05. This week I liked the techniques and tools ideas, but not the daily prompts, so I went with that instead. ( Find the info HERE). Since it has been so hot and sunny here, I decided to go with a beach/ocean/vacation theme. I need no excuses to explore this theme! Stamping and alcohol inks for this very simple card. I forgot how much I like the results! How dark that brown co...
