January 13, 2015,. Mektronix hereby formally gives End Of Life (EOL) notification that the MCP-1200EPJ will no longer be produced. Mektronix will sell out existing stock based on priority of existing customers who give written request for quotations before January 30, 2015. Mektronix will continue to sell the part until the existing stock has been depleted. No Alternative Part for MCP-1200EPJ.

What is included on the Evaluation Board? A single MCP-1200 chip is socketed with all external interfaces supported. Small DC motors may be driven with the on-board 3-amp H-bridge driver. External interfaces are available for motor drivers and an incremental encoder. Are multiple axes supported? The SYNC pin is available on the connector but only one MCP-1200 is installed on the Evaluation Board. In order to synchronize multiple axes the same clock must be supplied to all MCP-1200 chips.
