For our chance to be together, I will endure the endless chemo, walk the dark tunnel where no light shines in, wake up tired every day, put up with upset stomach all the time, never have a moment without pain, deal with the roller coaster of emotions called cancer. In order to start the new treatment I needed to be off treatment for 2 weeks anyway, and we wanted to avoid any complications taking another chemo could cause. I am extremely afraid of the cancer growing while not receiving treatment. It was scary to think of it growing while on chemo and how much more it will grow with nothing on its way. I have been purchasing Newman's Fig Newtons to avoid the high fructose corn syrup found in Nabisco's Fig Newtons. And.that is getting VERY expensive. At almost $4.00 a package, for 18 little "bawrs," it's been adding up. I searched the web for a fig bar recipe and found one that I hope would be very similar to those Newman's. 4 eggs, divided.
