This is me, Melanie. Friday, February 15, 2013. Andrew's birth story part 2. That sounds like quite an eventful birth experience. Im so glad you were able to get medical care for the bleeding. When was Aubreys baby born, and were you able to be there for that, too? February 18, 2013 at 11:32 PM. I know what you mean about getting ot know christ better through child birth. This is me, Melanie. Wednesday, August 17, 2011. This affected me greatly today. I was reading 2 Nephi chapter 4 and it really affected me greatly. Oh my! I love how Nephi says "Awake my soul! No longer droop in sin. Rejoice O my heart and give place no more for the enemy of my soul. This is me, Melanie. Saturday, February 23, 2013. Andrew's birth story part 3. Normally, waiting 45 minutes to cut the placenta is not dangerous. But, in my case with the placenta still being attached to me, it continued to pump blood into Andrew for to long. It gave him to much blood.I found out from a nurse later that usually after a baby takes his first breath it signals the placenta to stop pumping blood. In my case it did not. Would I have given birth in a hospital instead of a birthing center?

This is me, Melanie. Friday, October 14, 2011. My greatest accomplishments are sometimes my greatest sorrows. I wonder what I can do better today than I did yesterday? I feel so much that they have got to be valiant and strong and so do I as their mother. They are being raised in enemy territory with so much of the world pulling at them. I need to make my home a place of refuge and peace. Sometimes that is hard but I have got to be willing to do better daily. Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, 11:215).

JESSE SUMMER AND BRIGHTON. Friday, August 21, 2009. Finally someone came to visit us here in Washington. My sister Amber and my two nieces came to enjoy some unusually cold weather for a few days. We went to the riverfront park in downtown Spokane. It has these two huge scary waterfalls. Kya for some reason thought Amber was going to throw her off the bridge into the water so she didn't look too happy in this picture. There is this GIANT radio flyer wagon at the park the kids can play on, pretty cool.
