Through this activity I would hope the students should be able to make the connection between the areas of the larger triangle is equal to the sum of the larger triangle. This activity shows students the relationships between the squares of each of the lengths. Finding the area of a square is the same as squaring the lengths of the sides of the triangle. I would have the students create the Platonic shapes out of play-doh and then have them check Euler’s Formula.
