The VA Bch Yuraskos. August 12, 2009. That's a lotta kids! Group picture (Frankie's at the top row center). We were able to get MOST of the kids to sit still (3 were running around):. Since Frankie missed out on a party last year (and Frank was away for his last 2 birthdays), we decided to throw him a party of his choice . he asked for a MY GYM birthday. What a fun party! We had 24 kids running around, lots of stuff to play on, games, a parachute, the zip line, dancing, pizza and cake! Links to this post.

Frankie wrote a letter to Santa this year (not like last year when he cut and paste a bunch of pictures of toys he wanted and sent it to the big guy). I tried to let him sound out most of the words so the spelling is off on some of them. We were impressed that his first sentence is a toy request for his brother since he was concerned that Jake couldn't write his own letter - what a sweetie pie! Then he only asked for ONE THING (YEA!

Tuesday, May 11, 2010. We went to the annual Yurasko Kentucky Derby party about a week ago! You'll know we're at that party because of the above photo of William with the traditional mint juleps. We have been trying to get this photo, of Mark and Amara with Christopher and Alexandra for the longest time. Here it is - yeay! Here's Alexandra giving baby Amara and hug and a kiss. I wanted to share some of my "lessons learned" in how to bring a toddler to a party by yourself:. Bring a backpack instead of a diaper bag (free hands! Bring a small gift (manuvering gift and toddler is a bit tricky). Be ready for a meltdown (your toddler knows that you are more susceptible to manipulative behavoir when you are alone with her/him and in public). Links to this post.

We were able to take Jonathan on his first outing a couple of weeks ago. To make the trip even more fun, William and Will came along! We went to Crooked Run Orchard out in Purcellville, VA.
