Melissa goes to Tokyo

Melissa goes to Tokyo. Sunday, November 05, 2006. Home again, all is as I left it, a fridge filled with food three weeks old and work waiting to be done. All that really changed is the weather, a snow storm greeted me fiercly! I miss my family in Japan very much, having relations with a family likt the Oka's is indeed fortunate, to say the least. Thank you very much for everything Azusa, Aunt Sumiko, Nanako, Mizuki, Chikuma and Keiko. Also, thank you Aunt Bev for my EVERYTHING. Posted by M at 2:49 PM.

Melissa goes to Tokyo: October 2006

http://melissagoestotokyo.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html

Melissa goes to Tokyo. Monday, October 30, 2006. Im suffering from attachment-angst, due to the fact that Im returning to Sweden in less than 24 hours. Everything in Japan makes my eyes water, especialy when I look at my family members Azusa and Aunt Sumiko, two individuals whom have become very important to me. This adventure has all gone so well, so fast, so fun! I have pictures to prove it! I will stop writing for now. And go dry my eyes. These pics are of Mizuki and Nanako:. Posted by M at 6:05 PM.

Melissa goes to Tokyo: Count-Down

http://melissagoestotokyo.blogspot.com/2006/10/count-down.html

Melissa goes to Tokyo. Sunday, October 29, 2006. Yes, Ive been lousy at writing. Forgive me. Ive just been having too much fun! After this, Aunt Etsuko thought it would be a good idea to have some coffee, and we went to the Imperial Hotel, a posh and beautiful Hotel that was many things to offer. Here, we decided to try the ice-cream float, a dessert aimed for children, but tasty enough for a sophisticated palett as ours. All in all, it was a lovely night to remember. Posted by M at 11:17 AM. Melissa goes to Tokyo: What makes Japan Japan

http://melissagoestotokyo.blogspot.com/2006/10/what-makes-japan-japan.html

Melissa goes to Tokyo. Sunday, October 22, 2006. What makes Japan Japan. Here in Japan I find myself asking many questions about the social structure. Women in this country are clearly becoming more and more independant, not wanting to marry since this will most often result in a life as a homemaker. Upon telling my Japanese friends that men in Sweden are no less domestic that women, they actually clapped their hands with joy. (Of course, Im not in a position to generalize.). Melissa goes to Tokyo: Plastic Fantastic

http://melissagoestotokyo.blogspot.com/2006/10/plastic-fantastic.html

Melissa goes to Tokyo. Thursday, October 26, 2006. I just returned from the foodmarket, today Im making cheese omelett on rye for lunch. Anyhow, I picked up some flowers on my way back for aunt Sumiko. When I came backto the house, to my big surprise, I saw that each flower was individually wrapped with a small plastic sheet, to prevent the flowers from going bad. Impressive. Posted by M at 12:06 PM. Singing in the rain. What makes Japan Japan. Died and went to Muji heaven. Small man, large heart.

Melissa goes to Tokyo: Crime Time

http://melissagoestotokyo.blogspot.com/2006/10/crime-time.html

Melissa goes to Tokyo. Wednesday, October 25, 2006. One of my best kept secrets, untill now that is, is my passion for English crime novels. Murder that takes place in the countryside among biscuits and tea. Agatha Christie has been my dear friend since I first began reading, and she is a lovely travel companion, never too heavy to carry along. Tonight for dinner I was treated to a real Japanese traditional treasure, Unagi. We ordered in, and this is how ordering in works in Japan;. Posted by M at 9:26 PM.

Melissa Goes to Texas An IF:Gathering Internship. IF: Gathering Intern. Californian. New Englander. August 10, 2015. August 10, 2015. It has been 7 days since I moved into our little house with two of the four souls I will live with. All a mad rush of lifting and shifting the load of my possessions from the space in my car to the space between the four walls I call my room. So, so young. It was baptism Sunday.
