http://nightbloominggarden.blogspot.com/2015/06/calculated-shipping-new-shipping-labels.html
Vwen'tern, or greetings in the tongue of the Elves. Here is a garden that blooms only after the sun is gone where thoughts and musings flit like shadows over moonlit leaves. This blog is an extension of my store, click on the shop widget on the right to see what we have to offer! Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Calculated Shipping and New Shipping Labels. I've talked a little in the past how shipping on Etsy was a messed up game of averages. Check out the "How do you set shipping costs? Repeat for every order (...

All things history… but especially parochial conflict in early modern england. Anyone who reads academic blogs frequently enough will know that there can be issues with academic blogging. From employers not wanting to employ people with any kind of online presence linked to their names. A tad unrealistic these days I think), through to individuals posting things that their employers take as ‘bringing the institution into disrepute’. Continue reading →. The contestants would be asked why they want to go t...

All things history… but especially parochial conflict in early modern england. The Household Accounts of Joyce Jeffreys. The penitential sermon of Robert Foulkes. As part of my MA dissertation I’ve been researching the case of Robert Foulkes, and I gave a paper on a part of my research at the University of Leicester’s School of History. On May 17th. The full title was ‘ Every step thou makest in sin, brings thee in greater danger’: The penitential sermon of Robert Foulkes. PhDs and Welcome Events. Eighty...

All things history… but especially parochial conflict in early modern england. I must be doing something right though – my supervisory team have made it clear that they’re happy with what I’m doing so clearly this feeling of not quite being able to get my feet underneath me isn’t perceptible to those around me. I just don’t feel quite grounded. A bit like this:. That, of course, is from. That’s what I think is happening now: I think I’m hitting another cliff. That’s the learning curve. And sinc...This se...

All things history… but especially parochial conflict in early modern england. PhD Induction: Last Day. Gets rejected, and that you must not. Take it personally – even the professor gets rejected every once in a while! A lot of what was said I knew (and could chip in useful info) but at the University of Leicester, Library Services are continually working to improve and develop the services they offer and its important to keep on top of these changes. The third event was the long-awaited New History Lab.

All things history… but especially parochial conflict in early modern england. FINALLY starting to settle down… I think…. So in that sense, this time around is a little easier. A little (okay, a lot) more difficult too. More to learn. More intense language. I’m still not entirely sure I know what ‘ontology’ means (not helped by the vaguish dictionary definitions. Or whatever) that just pinged into my inbox (! 8217;… yeah, right! DMP is about more than that – it considers things like backup, for exa...

All things history… but especially parochial conflict in early modern england. We went for lunch beforehand, with another PhD student. It was good to see more of the University of Nottingham’s lovely campus. Very different to Leicester – much bigger grounds – and the views are quite amazing. This is one part of the AHRC Midlands3Cities. The supervision itself went well, I think. I took cookies! Tomorrow: I’m on Leicester campus all day – in the library in the morning, digging into that essay,...8230;] on...

All things history… but especially parochial conflict in early modern england. PhD induction: Day Four. I’m actually really qurite proud of myself this evening. My day has actually been non-stop talking. I met a friend for coffee this morning; we had a great chat, and saw off a ladybird that seemed to have a bit of a thing for her, off her jumper and hair…! PhD induction: M3C Residential School Day 2. It’s quite amazing. I arrived home from the AHRC Midlands3Cities. Or the National Archives. We – o...
