MyissaG's Crochet: Hello Rainy Day!
http://melissascrochet.blogspot.com/2011/07/hello-rainy-day.html
It has been a cloudy and rainy day today. The rain has come off and on all day. A really nice day after all the high heat we have been dealing with. Was near 100 most of the week. Too hot to really be outside. A recent project. Just a regular granny square afghan. Love making these from time to time. I am making another one simular to this one. Only I am using grey and yellow in place of the pink/ mauve in this one. We have had a really hot summer so far. How about everyone else? 7/15/11, 5:46 PM.
MyissaG's Crochet: Stormy Friday
http://melissascrochet.blogspot.com/2011/05/stormy-friday.html
So with all the rain coming down outside. I am working on this. A cute little baby dress. Sorry about the picture, but it is rather dark outside. It seems to be a really easy dress to make. I found the pattern on Ravelry. You can find the pattern here. This is a set of flower dishcloths I made a little while ago. They were super fast. :) The pattern for this was one of those free tear off sheats at Micheals. Hope everyone is having a great day :). That little baby dress is just absolutely adorable! Water...
MyissaG's Crochet: Back to School
http://melissascrochet.blogspot.com/2011/08/back-to-school.html
It's that time again! The kids are back to school. Today was their first day. Kyra is a Freshman this year and Sean is a Junior. I can't believe that Kyra is starting High School. Will be a busy year for both of them. Sean needs to work on scholarships this year. And Kyra wants to join a couple of clubs at school. (Art club and the Pep club). Then there will be softball coming up. I think I will be running around a lot. I hope that everyone had a great summer! LOVE that gorgeous purple! 8/25/11, 1:34 PM.
MyissaG's Crochet: Happy Weekend
http://melissascrochet.blogspot.com/2011/08/happy-weekend.html
Here is another scrappy potholder. I love making these with my scrap cotton. Each one gets its own unique look. :). Here is the Purple afghan again. :) It sure has grown. I am now close to the halfway point on it. :). I love both the potholder and the afghan is breathtaking. Incredible color. Do you mind sharing what stitch you used to make the potholder? 9/3/11, 7:38 AM. Ripple Afghans are my absolute favorite! I always have one on the hook. It looks like yours is going smoothly for you. 9/28/11, 7:22 AM.

Jana's Crochet corner: April 2010
http://crochetheavenfl.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 10, 2010. How can it be April already! Only 3 more weeks and my daughter should be holding her little son in her arms (and she better pass him onto me too! One baby afghan has been completed and she will receive it tomorrow. A second one is being made for the other grandma to have. This is her 1st grandchild. Boy, do I remember that excitement. Not saying that the second time around isn't exciting too. Trust me, it is VERY exciting! What do you think of of this pic? Besides being a croche...
Jana's Crochet corner: March 2011
http://crochetheavenfl.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 19, 2011. Sorry, about being MIA lately. Just don't like to sit on the puter at home once I get home from work. And the weekends, well, there always seems to be something going on (homework, housework, playing with the grand kids, etc). I have a few pictures to share. Not many as my crochet time has been a little limited. Pictures 1 and 2 are of a shawl made for an Elder Center on Pine Ridge. Definatley fun to make. Good thing as I need to make one for a friend of mine. On the hook now?

Jana's Crochet corner: WIM's from the last post
http://crochetheavenfl.blogspot.com/2010/06/wims-from-last-post.html
Sunday, June 27, 2010. WIM's from the last post. Here is how the WIM's from my last post have turned out -. Book Thongs - I bought the beads needed to make these. A BIG container from Micheals with hundreds of beads of all different sizes. So far 2, yes TWO, book thongs have been made. That big container still contains lots and lots of beads. Sue lives near a Micheals and a JoAnns and pretty much inhabits on a weekly basis. (Me? Now for the Cocoon - What a fun, quick project! And it would have worked had...
Jana's Crochet corner: May 2010
http://crochetheavenfl.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 29, 2010. Yarn, Crochet Hooks and Patterns. Getting that feeling again of having too many projects on my plate - or should I say "on my hooks". Trying to finish a balero for my daughter. The back and left side are done, just need to do the the right side and the sleeves. The pattern is pretty easy, but I always seem to pick up something else to work on. Like an afghan, or maybe a coaster or two - dishcloths, chapstick holders. Oh, my little grandson arrived on May 17th! Besides being a croc...
Jana's Crochet corner: January 2010
http://crochetheavenfl.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 3, 2010. And as with every new year, there are so many WIM's floating around the house. Well, with Rav, I guess you could say they are all floating around in my que. The table runner was finished with time to spare and really set off the kitchen table. No crochet projects were made for Christmas presents this year, so there was no stumbling over my fingers to finish projects on time. This made for a mostly relaxing pre-holiday. And I am also working on the Alpine Lace Scarf. The Guernsey ...

Saturday, October 17, 2009. The Lost Crocheter Returns. Well, not really lost. Just lazy. Too lazy to sit and post an entry. But I can sit and play Bejeweled for hours. lol Some crochet has been done. Several hats were made and sent to the CFAC Web Store. Come by and take a peek at what is for sale! About a dozen hangars were sent along with the hats too. The Wool Eater is off the hooks and was mailed to the happy couple. Now they will be really warm in the cold Buffalo winter. Jana's Crochet corner: The Flying Hook
http://crochetheavenfl.blogspot.com/2010/12/flying-hook.html
Thursday, December 30, 2010. I know, I've neglected my blog. So much going on, that I tend NOT to sit at my computer too much at home. (well, checking e-mails and such, but not much else.) So, let's see if I can update some of what has been helping me de-stash my yarn stash. In September, an afghan was started for a friend at church. It was finally finished last week. I needed something to keep my hands warm at work. They always keep it too cool for my comfort. These fingerless mitts were perfect. Starte...

Thursday, December 22, 2011. 2011 Christmas Neighbor Gifts. For my neighbor gifts this year, I decided to do a Christmas Tree Ornament. Since most of my friends and neighbors are in the military, or for one reason or another, move every couple of years, I decided to make an ornament that would represent their life in 2011. And what better way to do that, than to show their home? I removed the glass and backing and placed the empty frames in a box. Then sprayed the frames, a few at a time, with spray ...

Tuesday, 31 May 2011. Won't Somebody Please Think of the Children? There’s something decidedly creepy about sitting at home at 11:30 on a Saturday night watching grown men get busted for attempting to engage in sexual liaisons with minors. I have a reasonable excuse; I’m watching NBC Dateline’s Predator Raw: The Unseen Tapes. On the CI Channel for research purposes. But what about the other members of the Australian public tuning into this program? The To Catch a Predator. And To Catch a Car Thief. In an...

Sunday, November 22, 2009. Today I went to National Portfolio Day because my boyfriend is trying to transfer out from the local community college to an art school, preferably Tyler. The first and only time I had ever gone to Portfolio Day was last year when I was doing the whole getting-in-to-college thing. Going again definitely brought back some memories. Mostly the memories of the waiting, the long, long, longggg,. Painful waiting, and the anxiety and excitement of getting your work reviewed. But I we...
