Sitting in the Chicago airport. Melissa sent this to me from the Chicago airport. Shes already headed back home from a short trip to NC for the vaccine. Cant wait to have her back home! The vaccine process was not too bad, other than the 10 shots involved! I had 4 injections of the vaccine, 5 skin test reaction shots and a tetanus vaccine. From good news to bad news. We got good news while Melissa was having her MRI this morning. Duke University called and her vaccine was formed and is ready for her. Melissa was ecstatic; you could just hear her happiness through the text she sent out. Then just like that, from the highest high to the lowest low. We got word from her afternoon appointment that her tumor is progressing. Now we just pray for her travels at Duke and that this vaccine is successful. How many times have you heard me cry out.
