My journey...: Kingdom sense
http://janellekhoo.blogspot.com/2011/12/kingdom-sense.html
Thursday, December 15, 2011. Have you heard, he was born in a manger? Son of a carpenter? Look at his clothes. He does not even have a home. Let alone a palace. He cannot be the messiah. He cannot be the promised King. He is not even a warrior. Such a disgrace. How can it be? Posted by Janelle at 1:05 AM. Links to this post:. Moving to the rhythm of His grace. My journey...: Traffic Lights
http://janellekhoo.blogspot.com/2010/07/traffic-lights.html
Thursday, July 29, 2010. Sometimes, He will give us red lights and we are forced to stop and wait. Red lights are necessary for us so that we do not get hit by oncoming traffic. God will cause our journey to come to a halt and all we can do is wait. We may not see the consequences of moving but it seems wise to wait. It is actually for our own protection and for our own good. Posted by Janelle at 12:12 AM. Links to this post:. Moving to the rhythm of His grace. View my complete profile. Easter at the Park.

My journey...: Easter Approaches
http://janellekhoo.blogspot.com/2012/04/easter-approaches.html
Monday, April 02, 2012. In Isaiah 48, it says that God's hand has spread out the heavens. Can you imagine how small we are in the palm of His hands? Maybe like a speck of dust? May this Easter season be a reminder to us all that, 200 years ago, the journey which Christ took is a reason for us to walk faithfully in our journey today. Posted by Janelle at 8:08 PM. My journey...: February 2007
http://janellekhoo.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 26, 2007. The foolishness of men . The treasures of the Kingdom. We often refer to the things of the world and the things of the Kingdom of God as upside down to each other. When we grow up embracing the things of this kingdom, we need to relearn our worldview when we want to embrace that which is of God. How can one understand this Kingdom of God living in this upside down world. What impact will it have if we follow the ways of the Kingdom of God in our journey in life? I must admit th...

My journey...: No Short Cut
http://janellekhoo.blogspot.com/2011/10/no-short-cut.html
Thursday, October 06, 2011. Why do I have to go through what I have went through? I am sure that Job did not understand either. Why did he have to loose everything. Who can comprehend the ways of the Lord? But in the end, Job says "My ears have heard of you but now my eyes have seen you" (Job 42:4-6). Isn't that just lovely? Posted by Janelle at 7:40 PM. Thank you George for your comment. Times of suffering is never easy and we may never know why we go through it but let us together place our hope in...

My journey...: letting go (Gary Valenciano)
http://janellekhoo.blogspot.com/2010/07/letting-go-gary-valenciano.html
Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Letting go (Gary Valenciano). Found this song. It really spoke to my heart. Letting go. It is so difficult to let go of our own desires simply to trust in a God whom we cannot see but that is all that we have to do. What if God does not care? Already I feel like I am hanging on to nothing but disappointments. But deep inside as God speaks to me I know that it is not the case. Just like the words of the song. Let go and you will understand. Posted by Janelle at 2:31 AM.

My journey...: Contextualisation?
http://janellekhoo.blogspot.com/2011/12/contextualisation.html
Wednesday, December 14, 2011. When or how do we learn to adapt the different cultures to our faith? God is not limited to just one culture but he is the creator of them. How would worship look like if we worship him in our different cultures and styles? I always do appreciate the different ways people worship in the different countries. Perhaps we should be more aware especially when we are in the context of a different culture not to impose our own worldview to them. Just a thought. Links to this post:.

My journey...: October 2006

Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Surrounded by His presence. Posted by Janelle at 11:53 PM. Links to this post. Sunday, October 29, 2006. Yet will I praise Him. How long O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts, and everyday have sorrow in my heart? But I will trust in Your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord for He has been good to me." Psalm 13. The words of a song by Tim Hughes. When The Tears Fall. In the lone hour of my sorrow,.

My journey...: September 2006
http://janellekhoo.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 26, 2006. In the name of "purest theology". Read a report written by a member of a church in one of the asian country. Speakers from the west (no offence intended to all you from western countries) are going into the churches in this asian country and preaching about their denomination instead of Christ and dividing the church. When they were contronted about it, they flatly said that their teaching is the "purest theology". Posted by Janelle at 12:36 AM. Links to this post. Just makes...

My journey...: Happy Easter
http://janellekhoo.blogspot.com/2011/03/happy-easter.html
Tuesday, March 22, 2011. I could not imagine what went through the disciples' minds as they watched Christ being arrested and then sentenced to the cross. Their Messiah. The one whom they think will rule and will give them a great and comfortable life. They even argued who will sit on his right and on his left. But what is this? He is going to be hung on the cross? Were we wrong to think that he is the promised Messiah? Posted by Janelle at 9:00 PM. Links to this post:. Moving to the rhythm of His grace.
