Adventures in the kitchen . Inspiring the experimental cook. Sunday, July 22. I only learnt how to eat brinjals a few years back. When I was little, the only thing that I would eat was beans. All sorts of beans - long beans, french beans, green peas and basically any kind of legumes. Leafy vegetables was a big no and same goes for the unconventional types like brinjals. Now I'm a big fan of brinjals . very ironic indeed. One brinjal, sliced in little pieces. Make sure the core is removed. Sunday, July 15.

The beauty about jam tarts/rolls, is basically the melt-in-your-mouth pastries (the shorter they are, the more delicious) and the jam. Unfortunately cooking the jam is the most time-consuming because they need to be prepared beforehand. On the bright side, yummy jam rolls are always worth the effort. :). 2 small pineapples, chopped up into small pieces. 10 Tbsp caster sugar.
