As I'm sure most of you know (considering the audience of this blog is family and friends), our little man turned one! In true first birthday style, we celebrated in style. Daddy, Mommy, and big sister joined in the theme and dressed for the special occasion. Jesse was thrilled. What can I say? He was a good sport. :). And Uncle Charlie really had him giggling! When I finished getting Wesley dressed, I went into Ryleigh's room and she was not in there. I called out to her, to which I heard giggles in response, coming from my room. I’m not really good at saying goodbye, I never have been. My grandpa died last Tuesday in the morning. My family had been expecting it, he had had lung cancer for quite some time, and somehow kept beating the odds. I wasn’t very close to him, and I’m sad that I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. We are always too busy. Too busy for hello, how are you?

Yes, that is one way to describe our little guy.who for his age, is not so little. At his 4 month check-up (which was actually at about 4 1/2 months) he weighed 18lbs 3oz and was 25 3/4inches long. That translates to 90th percentile for weight, 75th for length. That translates to a big boy! Monday, August 22, 2011.
