Saturday, December 25, 2010. Anna really enjoyed doing some Christmas crafts this month. She's working on her gumdrop tree. She was quite proud of the final product and set it in the Christmas village. Friends from church invited us over to decorate sugar cookies. It was a lot of fun (and then I didn't have to do that at home). We decorated the tree a few days after we actually bought it. Anna was super excited to put the angel on the top of the tree. Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Our Monday adventure took us downtown to the Pacific Science Center. A friend from church invited us to see the special exhibit he was helping host. They had a model railroad exhibit set up in various places around the center. It was really awesome! The Science Center is really huge and there are so many things to see and do- we'll probably have to go back sometime soon! This one may look like a leaf, but it is really a bug. Wednesday, February 23, 2011. So That's Where They Are! A couple of times last week, we got to experience this interesting mix of rain and snow. It was like little snow pebbles falling from the sky. It usually was followed by rain and sometimes accompanied by sunshine. We like it- we get to enjoy some winter fun, but don't have to shovel it! So that's where they are! She even made a doll quilt for Anna's babies. This was a very thoughtful gift that will be treasured! We had a blast! I Guess It's Time.

Friday, June 25, 2010. My sister and 2 of her girls spent a couple of days with us. After much driving, we made our way to Millenium Park this afternoon. It was so fun to hang out on the beach. Or decide to play in the Splashpad! What a great afternoon. Now we're off for ice cream! We are becoming quite the traveling family lately. We headed out to Bellevue, Washington this past weekend. Thursday, August 26, 2010. We spent our day "off" of driving.driving! We headed back to Yellowstone with the Greydanus'. It was a bit of a long day in the car (especially for the kids), but it was great seeing a different part of the park. Aaron was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. Thursday, March 31, 2011. Happy Birthday, Anna! Anna turned 5 yesterday! Now onto the celebrating! Anna was very excited that she got to open a few presents before school. Then she was treated to french toast for breakfast. We even were able to sneak in a few more presents before leaving for school. She doesn't normally dress like this for school, but Anna decided on this special day that she needed to wear a fancy dress. This year's cake- very similar to last year's cake- was a Barbie cake.
