Redplaid Time: October 2005

Friday, October 28, 2005. Kids in the Kingdom. My last post grew into a little dissertation on my basic opinion on children’s spirituality that I felt needed it’s own space. So here it is:. It has been my experience that children come by faith easily and naturally. When you tell them Jesus wants to talk to them and all they have to do is ask, they believe it. I sometimes remind them of the scripture that says, If a son asks his father for bread, will give him a stone? Tuesday, October 25, 2005. I’m sure ...

Wednesday, May 03, 2006. So I preached Sunday morning. Its like spewing out your personal opinion to a big room of people and then leaving. No feed back. No discussion. At first I felt great. I finally had all that stuff of my chest and out there. What did I say? What did I do? Did I say anything wrong? What do people think? Do they like me? Friday, September 30, 2005. 8:00 am, at the hospital. She asked about allergies, made notes about the food I can’t eat. Mainly MSG, which she mentioned the hospital doesn’t use. That’s a surprise. I’ll believe it when I see it. She was bummed out that I can’t eat Jello, that clear fluids, old hospital stand by. What will I eat? Posted by Kellie Huffman at 9/30/2005 12:01:00 PM. Tuesday, September 27, 2005. The day after the pre-op I wake up with a cold! Sore throat, bit of stuffiness, touch of fever....

Saturday, April 01, 2006. Yes, I survived, with dignity in tacked. BUT I am sooooo tired and sore, just from moving around all day yesterday and this morning. Not much sitting down in the last 36 hours. Oh, except for the whole 6 1/2 hours I got to sleep. Thank-you girls for that. Last night was Sinead's 11th Birthday Sleepover. Seven wonderful girls, age's 8 to 11 slept in the front room. Did I say, "Slept"? And so it begins. Brady and Amy really got into the nails! I just gotta say Sinead was a wonderf...

Thursday, November 24, 2005. My blog is fixed! My hard-working, well-meaning husband redesigned it about a month ago. He wanted to surprise me by putting a picture of Audrey Hepburn. On it Unfortunately the picture he found was not Hepburn (Barry insists the site he got it from said it was her) and she was holding a cigarette. Not quite what I wanted. He just changed the picture and I love it. Posted by Kellie Huffman at 11/24/2005 10:19:00 PM. Thunder Bay, ON, Canada. View my complete profile. Bronwyn d...
