On the morning of my 10th post-operative day, I developed a redness and swelling on the bridge of my nose and over my left eyelid. It stung and felt warm to the touch. After 24 hours there was no sign of it going away so I went to the GP who prescribed 2 antibiotics, Flucloxacillin and PenicillinV for 7 days. Posted by LYB at 6:22 am. Wednesday, July 06, 2005. Wednesday, July 06, 2005. I was at the Golden Jubilee Hospital, Clydebank, Glasgow for 6.30am. I was given a pre-med - temazepam 20mg. It knocked me out and I went to sleep. I was wheeled down to theatre about 11.30am. When the anaesthesia was going in to the cannula on my hand, I remembered it was quite painful and I was wanting to stop the pain. Next thing I knew I was in recovery. So far though, I've only been sick that once. What a horrible feeling that is. My nose looks tiny - compared to what it was.
