Monday, August 18, 2014. For my birthday we went camping in Nauvoo. The whole family dressed up like pioneers. Waiting for the Nauvoo brass band to come play. Peter had mixed feelings about his hat. Peter wearing a party hat just before we sang happy birthday to Mommy. Party in the bath tub. Mommy and Mary and Peter at Homer lake. They got to watch the ladder truck extend its latter. Eating the kettle corn we bought at the farmers market. Can you see the snake? Moroni enjoyed our nature walk the most.

Tuesday, October 28, 2014. All ready for church. Beautiful blue eyed boy. First backpacking trip with daddy. All ready to go. The next weekend we went camping all together as a family. Ross took the kids on several nature walks and during one of them he met a man foraging for mushrooms. The man brought us some of the mushrooms he found and gave us some batter mix and we made fungus patties the next morning and fed them to the whole family. Yum! Can you see Peter's shadow? Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Because of my inability to concentrate I have been unable to write any real updates and assemble anything that would be extra meaningful to post. But something is better than nothing. We are borrowing a rifle to get rid of the rabbits which are pests - not cute cuddly rodents. Life's a blog just waiting to be written. Thursday, 16 October 2014. During the Easter holidays earlier this year, Jake and I decided to take a short break to Wales. Other than Australia the summer before, this was our first 'abroad' holiday. It was perfect. We had an amazing view with a lovely beach and amazing blue lagoon just a walk away. I really do miss waking up to the beautiful sunrise against the spectacular hills facing he campsite! The remainder of the day was spent chilling at the campsite....
