Welcome to meltednotsmashed.com. Are they real bottles? Yes They are real glass wine, beer, soda, and liquor bottles. Where do you get the bottles? They are all recycled/upcycled and we get them from bars, restaurants and alcoholic friends. How do you smash them? They are melted, not smashed. We slump them in a kiln at 1,400 to 1,600 hundred degrees for about 16 to 18 hours. Once they're cooled off, we put the labels on the back and seal them. Can you wash them? Do you make special orders?
