Saturday, June 25, 2011. Lion Country Safari 2011. The Lion Country Safari is Florida's only drive-through safari and walk-through amusement park. I've never been to a drive-through (with your own car) safari before. It was an amazing experience to see animals walking around your car so freely. While I was taking this video, my daughter was in the back seat of the car telling the monkey to sit down. (She thought he was going to fall and hurt himself). Lion Safari Splash Zone. Thursday, December 29, 2011. Christmas this year did not go as planned. My daughter ended up in the Emergency Room Christmas Eve. She was diagnosed with Croup. I was unable to bake cookies for Santa Christmas Eve because Gracie was extremely sick that day. So we did the next best thing, Santa ate the gingerbread house instead. (This will become our new tradition). As for my husband, he finally got a set of four 3D glasses for our TV. Adam spent Christmas day playing with his new toy. My new message table.

The fire started in the middle of the night and when we got in at 9am the people were already clearing their site and starting to rebuild. Even the kids lent a helping hand! Each day there was more progress! By the end of the week many shacks were rebuilt and people were trying to replace the things they lost from donations the community was providing. That works in Ocean View (a coloured township) got some of the ladies she works with to come in a pray for some single moms in Masi (the township I work in). It was a powerful time of prayer and song and I felt so honored to be apart of this divine moment with these ladies. The visit took place in the dark and the shacks had no working electritiy.
