Ok, so I’m also an artist. There’s all the difference in the world between “doing art” and “being an artist”. Probably. I make my own work – drawings. Photographs, “visual poems”. Cakes I think about the work quite a lot. I think it’s all about memory (which is why I put it on here). How can we capture the fleeting movement, the chance coincidence of form and relationship that living figures have? This collection is of my Flickr images. I am exploring "painting with light" in these images. I use a combination of slow shutter, deliberate camera movement, light drawing and high-density filters. Most recently, I've been photographing StreetTrees, at dusk. they are lit from street lights and from the light left in the sky. This collection is of some of my mural/exterior artworks. I was commissioned to create these by a local school. Each of the designs here are based on the theme of "Four Elements", since they were to be outside an "elementary" school in North London. My concept was to make the "Earth" wall reflect the actual location of the school I am very familiar with, basing it on aerial maps of the area.
