A total of 70 scholarships to pay for a year’s tuition were handed out to students at Long An. Some of the students we have supported from the very beginning with these crucial scholarships were able to enter university this year. We were able to provide 100 congenital heart disease screenings.

MEMOries in the Making – 8G. Ngày 7: New Lives, New Perspectives (3rd University Hospital Day). It’s a boy! An 5 kg (11 lb) baby was born by c-section on July 23rd at 9:45 AM, with MEMObers present to see it! MEMObers once again gained insight into the Vietnamese healthcare system and observed many different procedures. As part of our Transfer of Technology Program, Drs. Duy and Belville continued to teach local doctors and medical students new procedures and helped diagnose patients. I was so wrong.

This temple gives me hope, Cassia said. On our last day in Vietnam was spent at Ky Quang Orphanage and Temple in Tha nh Lô c, Sa i Go n. The temple is home to several orphans with disabilities and it surely left something in all of our hearts by the end of the day. Toys were donated to the kids at Ky Quang Orphanage. Photo by Ailin Ko.
