June 24, 2009. The Best Homemade Playdough Recipe EVER. Posted in Days of my life. At 12:23 PM by Robin. You gotta love the life of a stay-at-home mom. Sometimes there is time–too much time–for introspection and reflection on the deeper things of life, and there is time to write long, deep-thinking posts about these things. Other times, all you can think about is “What can I do to keep these kids busy and out of my hair long enough for me to take a shower? So, if you miss me, you can find me there! We le...

May 27, 2009. Is It Worth Saving The World If I Lose My Mind? Posted in Days of my life. At 7:57 PM by Robin. Pro: I HATE plastic shopping bags. I feel guilty throwing them away and Andrew insists that we keep some on hand anyway, “just in case we need them”, so we end up having a stash of plastic the size of the refrigerator stuck in our pantry cupboard. Anything to replace the darn things is a great idea in my book. Con: Where do you store the darn fabric ones? Pro: I’m saving the Earth! Now, if they c...

April 8, 2011. Posted in Artsy Stuff. At 12:03 PM by Robin. PS Eggs are great for Atkins! I LOVE LOVE LOVE these eggs! The egg part starts at about 5:15). Martha also did some decoupage eggs using paper napkins with a beautiful cherry blossom design. She just cut out the flowers and painted over them, letting them dry between each piece. She got the napkins from a specialty store online ( see here for details. More detailed instructions here. But watch the video. See the video here. Days of my life.

Chicken Cacciatore | Robin's Song
https://robinbl.wordpress.com/2011/01/25/chicken-cacciatore
January 25, 2011. At 9:13 PM by Robin. Well, I’m still trying to figure out exactly what I’m doing with this blog. What is my purpose? Am I trying to actually teach people how to cook? Or am I just telling you all what I had for dinner last night, mainly in order to give you new ideas? Are you all just wondering what you CAN eat on the Atkins diet? Should I be posting once a day? A couple of times a week? Should I post full recipes and instructions, or just a basic summary? They’re so sneaky! I also made...

Mmmmmmm…Good! | Robin's Song
https://robinbl.wordpress.com/2011/02/15/mmmmmmm-good
February 15, 2011. At 11:37 AM by Robin. Andrew likes to make fun of me, but I find that my eating preferences are very much season oriented. Despite the fact that ice cream is my favorite dessert of all (well, up there with creme brulee. They fill you up, they give you fiber and vitamins, and most importantly, they give your meal the flavor and texture that satisfies your tastebuds. So, if you fall into the same sort of winter-time produce avoidance trap, my suggestion is simple: soup. Andrew said that ...

Henrich Family: Where are we now? Morgan Hill, California. Thursday, March 17, 2011. Roosters vs. Rabbits. 4:00 Jake calls to let me know we had tickets to the Rugby game. 5:00 The boys and I leave the house armed with stroller, backpack and every coin in the house to take buses to the stadium. 7:15 We arrive at the stadium a little haggard, tired and cranky from dealing with the bus system and drivers. Great rugby, fast action and lots of new 4 letter words learned. But a good family memory.

Henrich Family: Where are we now? Morgan Hill, California. Tuesday, April 26, 2011. A few weeks ago we found a new beach, Stanwell Park. I think it's my new favourite. William had his first swim lessons. He loved them despite his teacher repeatedly saying, "William, back to the wall." or "William, put that back." or "William, not your turn.". It looks like a lovely beach. Glad to know you guys are still out there having fun. miss you! April 26, 2011 at 8:12 PM. May 2, 2011 at 11:13 AM.

Henrich Family: Where are we now? Morgan Hill, California. Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Haven't I always said this child gets better with age? He is such a nice, responsible, caring little boy who really tries his best at everything he does. He also loves a good party and so we decided to celebrate! Lili and Parker, Joel's best school mates. Then we went back to the house for cake and ice cream and some more games. Perfect party! I cant believe Joel is already 6! You sure know how to throw a fun bday party!
