I'm currently writing my blog from our home in South Africa. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. A common garden bird in the Free State is the Speckled Mousebird. Overall appearance, black face with black and white bill. It's a very common resident and locally nomadic in search of fruit. They also eat leaves, buds, flowers and nectar. I'm currently writing my blog from our home in South Africa. Saturday, August 8, 2015. Wildlife along the road. On Thursday we took our vehicle to Welkom for its first service. Rina stayed on with her daughter; Grant and I came home, It's a long weekend, Sunday being National Women's Day in South Africa. Therefore Monday is a public holiday. On the way home, Grant stopped at a small wildlife park so that I could take photos. A giraffe standing near the fence along the main road on which we traveled.
