As the books were closed on 2009, we're happy to report that we received $45,513 in December giving toward the Beacon for the Gospel Capital Campaign! As would be evident to anyone reading my blog or talking to me for more than a few minutes, I have really been mired in self-pity and resentment towards God for a long time. I'm tired of living this way, and yet I have felt powerless to change. The idols just won't leap down from their pedestals. Last month I wrote a paper reviewing the book How Long, O Lord? Monday, April 20, 2009. Archbishop of Canterbury celebrating the Eucharist. I think this is a cool picture. I have been wrestling with the issue of Presbyterians and formal liturgy.
