Sassy Molassy: In another country
http://sassymolassy.blogspot.com/2007/10/in-another-country.html
Tuesday, October 16, 2007. Recently, Calvin has been spending a lot of time playing with a kid who lives around the corner. Not around the corner in a house like ours, but in the big house. In the neighborhood for which our street was planned as a convenient abode for the domestic help. The other day as we were driving home from school, he said to me "I think G's friend who lives two doors down is from another country, because he's always playing that game with the stick that has a net on the end.".

Sassy Molassy: Math Wiz
http://sassymolassy.blogspot.com/2007/03/math-wiz.html
Thursday, March 29, 2007. And surprisingly, I rocked the house. Finally, here was math that made sense! I ended up agreeing that I would repeat the semester in question, but only if she put me with my Geometry teacher. For some reason, she did it, with the result that I now had not one but two. PS I have a confession to make- while you were at Rhodes avoiding Math, I was at Rhodes avoiding English. I haven't taken an English class since my senior year of high school! I rock at math- except geometry.

Sassy Molassy: Hillary Clinton reflects
http://sassymolassy.blogspot.com/2008/11/hillary-clinton-reflects.html
Tuesday, November 11, 2008. This morning when I woke up I was. Not The President, again. I lay in bed. Pretending for just that last moment before. Opening my eyes that it had happened. That. I was Her, the first, and that I was just about to. Sit up, swing my legs over the bed and slide. My feet into the fuzzy presidential slippers. I think that it is time I took up a hobby. Maybe. I'll go away, get a little cottage and grow things. What. Is it that people grow when they do that? Who will love me.

Sassy Molassy: Possibly dead, possibly alive cats, or why I did well in Geometry
http://sassymolassy.blogspot.com/2011/11/possibly-dead-possibly-alive-cats-or.html
Sunday, November 13, 2011. Possibly dead, possibly alive cats, or why I did well in Geometry. Have I mentioned how the ipad is cutting into my reading time? I'm still reading, but it takes me much longer to get through a book these days, and a certain slim piece of technology in a cute red leather cover is largely to blame. So maybe it was an attempt to make my ipad time less brain-melting that led me to one of my new favorite things: One-Minute Physics. So the other day I stumbled across this one:.

Sassy Molassy: Between the A and the T (or where I'm at)
http://sassymolassy.blogspot.com/2011/11/between-a-and-t-or-where-im-at.html
Monday, November 07, 2011. Between the A and the T (or where I'm at). Stay tuned for a fascinating discussion of Schrödinger's cat! Meanwhile, on the subject of my large and aging. My fondest daydream right now invlolves being able to wear jeans with a regular straight, semi-fitted shirt without looking like I am smuggling tire tubes into the country. No belly-concealing pleat, no baby-doll swing tops, just a plain old tee. Think of it! I'm using the fatsecret. Exercise can be fun! What Memphis is Like.

Memphis Mud: May 2009
http://memphismud.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Of course, that assumes Cohen wanted to actually make an argument at least somewhat more intelligent than claiming milk is a gateway drug to beer. Maybe Cohen just wanted to get on YouTube waving his hand around. Live the dream, baby. Say it ain't so. Cap'n But sometimes he does make pretty good sense. Posted by A.C. McCloud. Thursday, May 14, 2009. That's a good enough gap. Need to turn left? Posted by A.C. McCloud. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Left of hard right but right of center.

Memphis Mud: Herenton Drops Cotton Card on Cohen
http://memphismud.blogspot.com/2010/07/herenton-drops-cotton-card-on-cohen.html
Monday, July 19, 2010. Herenton Drops Cotton Card on Cohen. The mayor strikes again. 8220;Mr. Cohen is not a part of the working class,” Herenton asserted. “He never worked for hourly wages. He never chopped cotton for three dollars a day.”. How many people in Memphis have chopped cotton? Are only former cotton choppers qualified to be congressmen? Do only former cotton choppers get a pass when acting uncivil on the street with their opponents? Not sure she's ever chopped cotton, though.

Memphis Mud: Cohen Town Hall
http://memphismud.blogspot.com/2009/08/cohen-town-hall.html
Friday, August 7, 2009. Congressman Cohen is having a Town Hall meet on Saturday at 10 AM. Here's the flyer:. Let it be said now- if opponents of govt health care show up they weren't necessarily organized by the evil insurance companies they were organized by Congressman Cohen. Anyway, here's hoping for a peaceful outpouring of democracy. Posted by A.C. McCloud. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Left of hard right but right of center. View my complete profile.
