Though most of my gardening efforts went into completing the pathways, pruning and top dressing all of the gardens, our nearly ignored and un-planted vegetable garden did yield a few gems. This is the first year I was able to harvest the giant garlic for roasting instead of replanting. Here is a good comparison.

It is amazing how wonderful my water lilies are doing now that there are no fish to rip them apart, water lily "Texas Dawn". My lovely wife is extremely stressed with the closing and moving of her school to another high school and all the work packing up thousands of heavy text books and making sure they are safely housed in the new location.

Sometimes getting grandchildren together from two households is like herding kittens. So when all else fails chase them up a tree and grab ‘em quick. It’s spring break for this lot and we managed to grab three out of five to spend two days with Poppi and MeMa. After dropping Ruby and Elmo off at the house we headed to gymnastics lessons.
