Follow me on twitter. Posted by Lyle at 20:08 9.30.2007. It's been raining for the past couple of days, gross. It's also getting a lot colder all of a sudden, which is no good for me. It's actually pretty sad, when it gets below 22C (71.6F) in my house I run for my sweater. Lately it's been getting a lot colder than that when the sun goes down. sometimes as low as 13C! It was 1,800 yen to get in! No, here the movies get cheaper after 8pm. This is to take advantage of the hours public transportation r...

Follow me on twitter. Posted by Lyle at 16:15 9.25.2008. Korea was a smashing success. I was really blessed that everything on the timeline went like clockwork, and even things that didn't appear to be in the end fit in perfectly. Ethan and I stayed principally in Seoul, leaving only to visit the DMZ and JSA (Joint Security Area). Beyond that there was lots of eating and walking around, and when neither of those appealed we stopped in one of two places. A jimjilbang or DVD bang. The other place we went t...

Follow me on twitter. A good weekend, and other stories. Posted by Lyle at 11:59 1.29.2008. Yesterday I was teaching elementary school, and we were going over things in the classroom. When introducing new words, I usually try and give them the first sound as a hint. Usually someone in the class has heard the word before, and they get to look smart. So I was pointing at a desk, and saying "de". "des". "deeeesssss". Suddenly, a child shouts out "DEATH BEAM! The morning of the tournament is all novice wrest...

Dinners - we ended up going to 2 dinners for CNY, 1 at Mia Place.
