MercyAids: November 2011
http://mercyaids.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 3, 2011. Vision for Fisantekraal Shalom Trust. Currently MercyAIDS is run from our home and out of our garage. Donations of perishable and non-perishable food are available from stores and companies, but we have not really pursued that because we do not have storage space. To grow in the area of food distribution MercyAIDS needs storage and distribution space. With that in place and after securing food or funds we would like to start a soup kitchen. So that people can improve their liv...

MercyAids: Hula hoops - simple yet profound
http://mercyaids.blogspot.com/2014/11/hula-hoops-simple-yet-profound.html
Sunday, November 9, 2014. Hula hoops - simple yet profound. In the past month or so, I (Barbara) have reflected a lot on Kids Club - what we do, and why we do it. Partly it's an end of year thing - looking back and looking forward stuff. Most of it, though, has been my response to things that have happened. 8221;, “do I belong? 8221;, “can I trust you? 8221;, or when I show how inept I am with the hula hoop– and I really am! I add to this process. Simple, yet profound! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

MercyAids: February 2013
http://mercyaids.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 11, 2013. Who knew that German students working with kids, and recruiting other overseas volunteers to join them week after week, would have such an impact? Watching students from Germany, some not much older than themselves, give their time and energy to come and work with kids in South Africa AND without being paid.in fact paying to come.sparked lots of discussion among the youth in Fisantekraal. MercyAids: January 2012
http://mercyaids.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 31, 2012. 2012 the current story. MercyAids’ first project was a support programme for families infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. With the help of the local clinic run by WonLife. We identified the neediest families they were in contact with. The project was launched in February of 2005 and is still up and running. We did what we could and with the introduction of free ARV medication a few years back the lives of the supported families have improved a lot. This year we would like to...

http://mercyaids.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Fisantekraal Holiday Club.a group leader's point of view! At the recent holiday club we had a number of first time group leaders. The team turned out to be our dream team. As they gave it a go. Some were youth from Fisantekraal and The Father's House and one adult woman from The Father's House. She shares some of her experience with us. After half an hour (no, it was only five minutes) Hermione announced the winners: the red team! My skin felt incredibly smooth after the facial...

MercyAIDS was founded by Holger Lorentz from Germany. Holger served 13 years with Youth With A Mission in South Africa and Texas, USA. During that time he received training and taught at YWAM’s Christian school. For two years he was also involved in relief work in the Americas, Asia and Albania/Kosovo. Until 2003 he worked at Beautiful Gate in Crossroads in a home for children with HIV/AIDS. Holger and his wife Kay joined Father’s House Christian Fellowship in 2000. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
