The Accidental Boilermaker: May 2015
http://accidentalboilermaker.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 30, 2015. Today for lunch and just for something fun to do we went to the Roanoke Lebanese Festival. There was so many different foods you could try and it all sounded really good. Evelyn was kinda in a mood and didn't want to try anything. Nate and I both got falafel sandwiches and then we tried some grape leaves stuffed with rice and meat and a spinach and feta pie. For dessert we got what was basically fried dough with powered sugar, but it was good. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Afterwards we ...

The Accidental Boilermaker: June 2014
http://accidentalboilermaker.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 26, 2014. Evelyn saw her first turtle this morning. She was pretty excited. Being silly at Kroger. Tuesday, June 17, 2014. I think Nate had a nice Father's Day on Sunday. We went out to brunch and Evelyn was fairly well behaved. She did not stay asleep as long as we thought she would, but she was easily distracted in her car seat. We watched a lot of soccer and Nate worked in the garden. He has done an amazing job with the garden this year. Sleeping on the couch. And playing with her hippo.

The Accidental Boilermaker: Rock Band
http://accidentalboilermaker.blogspot.com/2015/04/rock-band.html
Saturday, April 25, 2015. Busy Saturday for us today. I had to get up early to attend a conference at work. It was good and I learned some new things. Nate and Evelyn didn't get to run because it was rainy and cold so instead they got doughnuts. Tonight we all went over to some friends' house to play Rock Band. The drums were by far Evelyn's favorite. She did take a small break from the drums to play her own guitar in Ruu's dog bed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Accidental Boilermaker: Derby Day
http://accidentalboilermaker.blogspot.com/2015/05/derby-day.html
Saturday, May 2, 2015. We watched the Kentucky Derby with some friends this afternoon. Harper tried to teach Evelyn how to play corn hole. Harper also gave her a new hat to wear for the race. It may been slightly lucky; Evelyn's horse, Frosted, came in 4th place. Better than the horses Nate and I picked. Let's go back outside guys! Watching people play corn hole after the race. The Accidental Boilermaker: October 2014
http://accidentalboilermaker.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2014. I wanted to make these cookies for the Halloween party but between hiking, decorating, and Evelyn I just didn't have time. So I made them yesterday morning before I had to leave for work. Works out well for me and Nate; we don't have to share them with anyone. Saturday, October 25, 2014. Zombies (and a cat in the background). Jam fest - Nate's supervisor, his wife, and youngest son brought their guitars and cajon. So they played a couple tunes for everybody. Hiking up the trail.

The Accidental Boilermaker: Groceries
http://accidentalboilermaker.blogspot.com/2015/04/groceries.html
Friday, April 17, 2015. Evelyn really seems to like to help put groceries away. I also need to try to get some pictures of her helping to empty the dishwasher too. That's another favorite activity as well. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Watermark template. Powered by Blogger.

The Accidental Boilermaker: February 2015
http://accidentalboilermaker.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Evelyn has the chicken pox. But our story really begins last week. Wednesday Feb. 18:. This is the only day I make it to work due to the snow and below zero temperatures. Evelyn comes home from daycare with a letter notifying us that there is a confirmed case of chicken pox in the baby room. Thursday Feb. 19:. Friday Feb. 20:. Saturday Feb. 21:. Sunday Feb. 22:. Warmer temperatures mean the snow starts to melt so Meredith and I can buy groceries and get more infant tylenol....

The Accidental Boilermaker: March 2015
http://accidentalboilermaker.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 29, 2015. This afternoon we went to Soaring Ridge to hear some blue grass music. Travis Book of the Infamous Stringdusters. Was performing a benefit concert for the Roanoke chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association. We really were just interested in experiencing some good blue grass. Nate and Evelyn practiced some walking and dancing once she got too antsy to sit at our table. Friday, March 27, 2015. No food truck food this time, just snacks, beer, and perfect weather.

The Accidental Boilermaker: Fort Wayne
http://accidentalboilermaker.blogspot.com/2015/05/fort-wayne.html
Monday, May 11, 2015. Last Thursday afternoon we left for Fort Wayne. Evelyn first had her well baby check-up in the morning. She weighted 21 lbs 6.5 oz (53rd percentile) and was 31 inches tall (66th percentile). Friday evening we met up with my parents! They drove over from the Illinois to spend the weekend with us. Saturday morning we all went to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. It is really a nice zoo - lots of fun animals and good sized, perfect for Evelyn. She got to see a hyena up close,.

The Accidental Boilermaker: 15 months
http://accidentalboilermaker.blogspot.com/2015/05/15-months.html
Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Evelyn turned 15 months on Sunday and her well baby check-up is on Thursday. Not much has really changed from 14 months other than Evelyn is a walker now. She still crawls on occasion but walking is definitely her preferred mode of transportation. Evelyn loves the chickens and they love her. Probably because she feeds them bread almost everyday we are home together. Now that the weather is warmer, Evelyn can even watch the chickens from inside. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
