Sunday, May 9, 2010. One year ago today, I loved the baby I was carrying but had NO IDEA of the love I would have for her now. It's been a wonderful Mother's day despite Chris and Nancy Carolyn feeling rather poorly. They treated me to tulips and chocolate covered strawberries. Becoming a mother was the best thing I ever did! I love you Nancy Carolyn and I Love you Chris for being my partner in life! Click here to view these pictures larger. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. This weekend, I took a step towards a new endeavor. I had been thinking and praying a lot about it and thought it sounded like a lot of fun. Thursday, December 31, 2009. Christmas morning it was SO NICE to wake up in our own bed and be lazy. I made breakfast for us and we opened presents just the two of us. We had a lazy morning and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. I even surprised Chris and set the table in my mom's Christmas china. We even drank out of our crystal tea glasses. It was quite fun! Saturday, August 22, 2009. As promised. here are pictures of the four cakes I baked for Zach's wedding. First, I have to say that when you make a caramel cake.you really never know what it will look like when you finish. Sometimes it will look great! Others. not so much. This is cake number one. .which after I iced it, I called my dad in tears because it looked so horrible. When I started icing cake number two, this happened to the second layer. Saturday, June 19, 2010. Wednesday, June 16, 2010. My baby is 5 months! Isn't she a doll? No stats since we didn't go to the doctor this month. I'm guessing she's around 13 lbs. Saturday, March 27, 2010. We've been fairly busy the last week around the Hartley House. I celebrated my 34th birthday last Wednesday, which was my first birthday as a momma! My dad and Sue gave me two new Wii games. EA Active and Wii Sports Resort- both are a lot of fun and I'm enjoying the Active game especially. It's giving me a good workout, that's for sure!
