Merlin and Rebecca: Castle Hunting: Bojnice

http://merlinandrebecca.blogspot.com/2011/06/castle-hunting-bojnice.html

Still, it's fun to look at Bojnice and imagine that it's real. When we first caught sight of it, driving up the valley from the south, it was magnificent. It was disappointing to find that the history of the place was more mirage than fact, and offputting to see people so impressed by such a grand monument to ego and wealth. Merlin and Rebecca: Castle Hunting: Malbork Castle

http://merlinandrebecca.blogspot.com/2010/11/castle-hunting-malbork-castle.html

Castle Hunting: Malbork Castle. We stayed in the town of Malbork on our way towards the Lithuanian border, and we visited the incredible Malbork Castle. We've been having terrible weather, so the shots are more atmospheric than good. It was fun, though, and we had a great walkabout in the cold and rain, trying to get a view that encompassed all of the immense fortifications. The scale is incredible. It was impossible to get a good shot of the entire thing, except from across the river. The origin...We ha...

Merlin and Rebecca: Castle Hunting: Palamidi Fortress

http://merlinandrebecca.blogspot.com/2012/03/castle-hunting-palamidi-fortress.html

Castle Hunting: Palamidi Fortress. Far down below, in the calm blue water of Nafplio harbor, sits another part of this complex – the languid, water-grey folly of Bourtzi. It sits prim and pretty, watching over a few bobbing pleasure boats and the waterside cafes. These are relics from the last age of castles, when they were built out of protocol, instead of real need. Reminding us of Kizkalesi’s twin castles. The higher castle was built by the Venetians between 1711 and 1714, part of their ever expanding...

Merlin and Rebecca: Castle Hunting: Castillo de Olite

http://merlinandrebecca.blogspot.com/2011/11/castle-hunting-castillo-de-olite.html

Castle Hunting: Castillo de Olite. Before Versaille and the Royal Palace of Madrid, before the Winter Palace and Buckingham, when western Europe was a fragmented and warlike place, the kings of Navarre constructed one of the greatest royal residences of the middle ages. Rising high above the tiny village of Olite, the incredible Castillo de Olite was once among the largest, grandest and most luxurious seats in Europe. Sadly, most of the interiors and an appreciable amount of the infrastructure were destr...

headwest design: shirt up or ship out

http://headwestdesign.blogspot.com/2011/03/shirt-up-or-ship-out.html

Shirt up or ship out. It was a year in the making, but Jake’s shirt is finally finished. Not knowing if he’d prefer a heavy flannel to something formal, or if Kwik Sew Pattern #2777. Would be the right fit, I decided to make a muslin version first. That was last December. In March he chose his fabric. And it took me the following nine months to garner enough courage to tackle the final stages of the project. Made for a lovely finishing touch. Amazingly, it fits him perfectly! Built It Green NYC.

Let's admit it, it's way. More fun to shop for someone who shares your taste. The same goes for handmade gifts. Not only are you spending time on a project you're actually inspired by- an opportunity that can be rare in the life of a "creative professional. But it's also gratifying to know that someone out there is enjoying something you've put energy into. Simple free-hand embroidery and Green Market lavender. I am in love with you. headwest design: terrace to table

http://headwestdesign.blogspot.com/2011/07/terrace-to-table.html

Horticulture is a Fagergren family tradition. But until now- like any good rebellious kid- I had no interest in it. On a quarterly basis my mother, aunt, and grandparents would drag me to the Botanical Gardens. I'd trail behind as they walked the beds pointing at every (no really, every. Plant, competing to see who could recite the scientific name first. Not exactly exciting stuff for a 13-year-old. Fast forward twelve years and I've finally found a part of gardening I can really get behind: the edible.

headwest design: in the bag

http://headwestdesign.blogspot.com/2011/03/in-bag.html

I’ve finally discovered the the perfect gift for “the person who has everything.” No- it’s not homemade granola. It’s a tote! The person who has everything undoubtedly needs something to carry all that “everything” in, so why shouldn’t it be carried in style? This realization came on the heels of another discovery- my new favorite loose weave linen. It has just the right amount of structure and is instantly made elegant when lined with. And stitch patterns from. Need the blue one.how much?

The operator's organization roots go back to the early 1970's when Air Wisconsin, Swearingen and AirResearch came together for the first conference meetings. More operators joined and the Metro fleet grew to be known as the Metro Operators Technical Conference (MOTC). A separate purchasing group grew out of this to become the Metro Operators Purchasing Association (MOPA). Welcome to our website. If you have any questions please contact: Admin.
