Sometimes I am incredibly fortunate to have an afternoon off work and childcare.somehow, when this happens, the weather has often been very beautiful and I have just thrown myself and my swimming gear into the little blue golf and have rushed to the sea.Thurlestone being the default place.a comfort place. I sat in the car to warm up, with my flask of hot chocolate and a piece of cake.

It didn't show. We cycled up to Newbridge from Ashburton, accompanied by police and helicopters, as a group of kayaking people had got lost on the moors.we were told later. Hot chocolate afterwards was very much needed to warm up. Sea Swim, Hope Cove, New Years Day 2012. A wonderful, promising start to the new year!

A lovely, most sunny day, spent painting the kitchen of Park School at Dartington. It was rather unbearable to see the sun outside and to be stuck in a paint smelling kitchen . So we painted really fast, maybe a bit too fast over the cutlery drawers. And then caught the last of the December sun, walked down to the river and went for a very short refreshment. The steam train came by.
