Is a small village of around 400 people in the Central Region of Ghana. It is approximately 40 km Northwest from Cape Coast, the regional capital. Mesomagor was originally inhabited because of its close proximity to the forest, but grew because of its rich soil. The founder of the village, Nana Mossi I. This literally means I and my children are up to enough number to play any game. People soon shortened it to Memba So Agro. And it eventually became Mesomagor. As it is called today.

The tree platform was originally built in 2000 and has just recently been reconstructed. It stands about 30 feet from the ground. It offers you a unique experience while in the rainforest. It is an excellent place to hear and watch wildlife. This layout is based on YAML. 2005-2006 by Dirk Jesse.

From Accra to Nyankumasi. In Accra go to the Kanishie Station and take an Assin Foso vehicle. You will alight early, at the station in Nyankumasi-Ahenkro. From Cape Coast to Nyankumasi. From Cape Coast kotokraba station, you take trotro to Assin Fosu road and you stop at Fante Nyankomasi about thirty minutes drive from Cape Coast. Then you take taxi to Assin Mesomagor. From Kumasi to Nyankumasi. Go to Kejetia Station and take a Cape Coast vehicle. Alight early at the Nyankumasi-Ahenkro station.

Bamboo Orchestra

The first people to bring the bamboo music to Mesomagor were a family from Gomoa Odinna (located in the Central Region). The music soon became very popular as a form of entertainment, especially with the youth. When the Kakum Park project began many of the young people had to leave Mesomagor to find work elsewhere, thus the bamboo orchestra broke down. In early 1994, Bismark Amoah. If you would like to see a performance you can come to Mesomagor. This layout is based on YAML. 2005-2006 by Dirk Jesse.

Nkatiaso

Nkatiaso is a small community near Mesomagor. The only road into the village is a walking path through farm land. It still consists of mostly traditional bamboo, mud houses with thatched roofing. The population is approximately 150. The inhabitants are originally from Gomoa Debiso but came to the area to farm. The first settler was Kweku Kywar, who served as the Nkatiaso chief until his death in February 2007. The current chief is Kojo Donkor, who was also one of the first settlers.

Guesthouse

There are four (4) rooms available. Each room comes equipped with two beds, two mosquito nets and bedding. Although there is no electricity, we will supply you with a kerosene lantern or candles. The guesthouse also has two shower areas and two latrines. The guesthouse is on a large compound where you may park your vehicle or camp in a tent if you choose. This layout is based on YAML. 2005-2006 by Dirk Jesse.
