I want to personally thank all of you who attended this years Party4Life pickleball tournament! The day was a huge success and we were able to raise over $30,000 through all of our different tournaments. The money will be donated to the Mesquite Veterans Association to benefit the new Mesquite Veterans Hall. I can't think of a better way to honor our local veterans.

Eastfield College Beginning Piano Class. Eleven students, eleven pianos, tons of fun and learning! Some students have previous piano experience and some have none. Each student can prove their musicianship by advancing through Achievement Levels and showing their knowledge and abilities. The Mesquite Fire Department Pipes and Drums plays at a variety of occasions during the year. We work with other fire department bands though out Texas and North America to honor a fallen comrade or to bring inspiration and patriotism to any event. Started in 2009, the band now has seven playing members:. Pipers are: Pipe major Larry Spurgeon, Ken Holt and Mike Ecklund.
