I Digress...: February 2014
http://bethmwood.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Ruminations on one girl's real life and big dreams. Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Know Any Multitasking Moms? A box came today. I opened the front door to get the mail and there it was. Nondescript. Leaned up against the pale yellow vinyl siding, casual-like. A pool of crack-ly leaves protecting it from the last cold gusts of winter. Maybe it had been waiting there a day or two, I don't know. We don't use the front door all that often. It wasn't the pants (where are they anyway? I ordered them a week ago!

I Digress...: That's Debatable
http://bethmwood.blogspot.com/2014/01/thats-debatable.html
Ruminations on one girl's real life and big dreams. Wednesday, January 29, 2014. I have every intention of writing more frequently here, but the truth is, running a business is pretty damn time consuming. It just is. So if you're wondering why I've stopped writing. I haven't. I've just been busy writing for my business blog. Writing feature articles, short stories and poems to submit for publication, oh. and raising three fantastic kids. It's full time - to the power of "Holy Crap I'm Busy! Far easier th...

Ruminations on one girl's real life and big dreams. Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Here's To The Good Ones. There are just two weeks - TWO! Left of our summer vacation. How did this happen? It seems that every year, the summers go by faster and faster. I was reminded recently that I hadn't posted a new blog since May. That's not to say that I haven't written. Really though, I'd like to think that I've just been living. Enjoying these last weeks of summer with my family and friends. I dated guys who had alread...

Ruminations on one girl's real life and big dreams. Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Raising Jackson: On Saying Good Riddance (Oops, I mean Goodbye) to 13. In my experience as a mom, thirteen is a tough age. I get that it's not so easy for the thirteen year old either. But, tomorrow (Nov. 13), my sweet, fun, engaging, big-hearted, stubborn-as-all-hell middle chid, JACK will be 14. FOURTEEN! That means we can all kiss that blasted 13 goodbye. Whew! Hey we made it Jack! 3 Jack wants to help. Really, truly, ...

I Digress...: On Whether or Not to Blink
http://bethmwood.blogspot.com/2014/08/on-whether-or-not-to-blink.html
Ruminations on one girl's real life and big dreams. Wednesday, August 6, 2014. On Whether or Not to Blink. Just recently I was holding a little redhead in one arm and the sweetest toddler in the other. I remember thinking to myself "please God, life is just so damn sweet, please don't let anything happen." How could life get any better than this? Enjoy every second of it - it goes so fast! They grow up so fast! Don't blink or you'll miss it! But here's the thing. Grow up they did. And guess what? I watch...

Ruminations on one girl's real life and big dreams. Monday, December 30, 2013. Letting Go Is Hard. Yeah I don't know. I guess.". Really. I'm just. you guys are just. growing up really fast.". Oh Like Connor has his girlfriend over, and I'm going to my friend's? Yeah Exactly. Silly, huh? No I'm still your little boy.". He hugged me then, before jumping out of the car, with all the confidence of a successful adult. Letting go is hard. And today, where do I. Fit in my boys' respective worlds? And not just a...

I Digress...: A Mother's Day Poem
http://bethmwood.blogspot.com/2014/05/a-mothers-day-poem.html
Ruminations on one girl's real life and big dreams. Saturday, May 10, 2014. A Mother's Day Poem. I'm not really a poet, but I went ahead and wrote one anyway, last August. I stumble through the dark to quiet your cries. Like clockwork, every two hours -. Body worn, I let out a silent groan. Can’t wait till this baby can do it alone. Thirsty, hungry, tired, wet. On tippy-toes, fingers outstretched. I’ve got it, I say,. Can’t wait till this baby can do it alone. Takes twice as long just to buckle him in.

I Digress...: August 2013
http://bethmwood.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Ruminations on one girl's real life and big dreams. Sunday, August 25, 2013. I was thinking the other day about these moments with my kids. As my oldest son begins his Junior year of high school, I find myself reminiscing about when he started kindergarten. I have folders and boxes of photographs of all those milestone moments from his first 16 years. But when I think - really think - about all the most precious. Memories I have with him, it's not the photographed ones that come to mind. Like the time we...
