the world according to kmuki: Bye Bye Benny
http://kmuki.blogspot.com/2011/11/bye-bye-benny.html
The world according to kmuki. Monday, November 07, 2011. Alas, today after almost 16 years of happy doggy life, Mum's dog Benson passed away. I'll have to dig out my favourite video of him, which is he and Dad singing "How much is that doggy in the window? He would get really wound up by Dad's incredibly elongated (and not necessarily tuneful) "hooooooooooooooowwwwww" that he would often start singing himself anyway just to shut Dad up. Never worked though. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

the world according to kmuki: Madagascar 3 Madness
http://kmuki.blogspot.com/2012/09/madagascar-3-madness.html
The world according to kmuki. Sunday, September 16, 2012. So on Tuesday my niece Miss M rings me. Aunty Kylie," she sweetly intones in that very cute way of hers, "next holiday, can we have a sleepover? In the background you can hear Miss G piping up "Me too, me too! Then the movie starts, and I realise that this was probably the worst choice of film to take them to. Plot? They played quite nicely there, even played with the other children and built several forts, the purpose of which always was to knock...

the world according to kmuki: Jazz at the Spiegeltent
http://kmuki.blogspot.com/2012/09/jazz-at-spiegeltent.html
The world according to kmuki. Monday, September 10, 2012. Jazz at the Spiegeltent. After the joys of the boys in the morning (the Vienna boys choir, that is! I'm now even thinking, given that the Vienna Boys choir concert feature SSA singing, that I might be able to stick that down as PD as well! Were surprisingly quite good. She has a lovely, silky, inoffensive quality to her voice. Whilst I wouldn't go buy the CD, I could listen to her again if I had to. It was just amazing. Bris Vegas, Australia.

the world according to kmuki: Christmas Shopping in KL
http://kmuki.blogspot.com/2011/04/christmas-shopping-in-kl.html
The world according to kmuki. Thursday, April 28, 2011. Christmas Shopping in KL. I had such a fabulous time in Vietnam, I really want to go back. I think that Gap Adventures are one of the best tour companies I have ever booked with - and they're not even a tour company! They were just brilliant, and the people on our tour were lovely. Which was perfectly fine, except that at the end of the journey (it was only 2 stops after all) I had a bit of messing about to do to find the way out - and then quite a ...

the world according to kmuki: October 2010
http://kmuki.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
The world according to kmuki. Monday, October 18, 2010. Ah the life of the cruise. Whilst the weather was a little overcast, it was still quite warm and we had a magnificent day. That evening, Mel, Kev and I (boy did I feel the gooseberry, as Anne would say! Enjoyed a wonderful meal in the steakhouse - the steak just literally melted in your mouth, and the desert, well, was to die for! Everyone was laughing and smiling and appreciating the innocence of it all. It was just beautiful. But all too soon the ...

the world according to kmuki: March 2011
http://kmuki.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
The world according to kmuki. Saturday, March 26, 2011. High Fivin' Ho Chi Minh and the Taxi Hijackers. After this we decided to try and get a taxi to the so-called Hanoi Hilton, the prison used by the French to imprison and torture Vietnamese political prisoners and then later used by the North Vietnamese to imprison American soldiers during the Vietnam war. But do you think firstly we could find a taxi? Monday, March 07, 2011. So we headed off for this restaurant that Vaughn knew for lunch. On the ...

the world according to kmuki: Bye bye, kmuki.com!
http://kmuki.blogspot.com/2012/09/bye-bye-kmukicom.html
The world according to kmuki. Monday, September 10, 2012. Bye bye, kmuki.com! Recently I posted about my frustration at having discovered that my blog address, www.kmuki.com, was no longer pointing to my blog, but to some bizarre word press thing. Well, I did a bit of digging to try to find out how I could my domain back, and boy, it gets interesting. Godaddy.com search that I had found before, telling me that my domain, kmuki.com, is now owned by a Patrick Edwards, of Parker, Colorado. No bu...I wrote t...

http://kmuki.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
The world according to kmuki. Friday, July 09, 2010. What A Difference A Day Makes! Couple that with the fact that for the majority of the time I have been out of phone / internet range, and in hostels by myself (with the exception of Launceston and Hobart I have had the entire dorm to myself and there has been very few other people in the hostels with me), it has been quite lonely at times. But I think I have done quite well. The views climbing the mountain out of Queenstown were easily some of the best...

the world according to kmuki: Hold the Pergolesi
http://kmuki.blogspot.com/2012/09/hold-pergolesi.html
The world according to kmuki. Sunday, September 09, 2012. If you told me last night that today I would go hear the Vienna Boys Choir I would have laughed in your face - primarily because everyone knows that concerts at QPAC cost an arm and a leg (why? I don't know) and this would certainly be true of a world class choir of the calibre as this - so of course I wouldn't be going. Yet this morning, lying in bed, I discovered that there still were some of the cheaper ($69 mind you! Polka was quite good.

the world according to kmuki: When Kylie Rode A Real Cowboy
http://kmuki.blogspot.com/2011/04/when-kylie-rode-real-cowboy.html
The world according to kmuki. Thursday, April 28, 2011. When Kylie Rode A Real Cowboy. Last week Kevan and I embarked on an epic adventure of a lifetime. One of the top 10 things to do in Australia. Something that deep down, every boy and girl wants to do when they're growing up - and usually play acts. Yes, we've come down to Bingara NSW to learn to be cowboys and. cowgirls. No Indians here! Well, none that we've seen.yet! And then just standing there. It was quite comical. Upon arrival we met some of t...
