Me, My Thoughts, and I. Tidbits about my life, trials, and interests but mainly about SharePoint…. Powershell to export Managed Metadata Termsets to CSV file. March 27, 2015. In SharePoint 2010, I used this third party Managed Metadata Exporter. From codeplex but it does not support SharePoint 2013. We had a requirement to export the terms for management review during a meeting. I found a powershell script to export on technet and although it is a pretty messy export, it does the job!

SharePoint, CRM and some other stuff. A blog about my adventures with Microsoft SharePoint, Dynamics and a couple of other things. Friday, November 29, 2013. Once this that has always bugged me was a way to migrate or easily manage metadata between farms. A typical scenario would be Development, Test and Production farms. How do you keep the metadata synchronized across these environments? You can use PowerShell? You can backup/restore databases? But what if you only wanted to move 'some' term sets?
