The principal fund-raising activities of Metcalfe Lions Club are:. We operate a bingo every Christmas in which we distribute turkeys, wine and cash as prizes. We also operate a penny bingo for the seniors in the Township of Care Centre every Monday evening. Metcalfe and District Lions Club was chartered on 19 November, 1959 under the sponsorship of Russell Lions Club and incorporated on 16 July, 1962. Three of our active members, Bill Porteous, Archie Sayant and Gerry Mullins are founding members of the club. The Den can also be rented for private functions.
