I am feeling very overwhelmed with life right now, we have had so many changes this year. I feel like I can barely keep up. I am still serving in YW's and know that for now it is where I need to be. Some days I get really burned out, and have challenges with people, but working with the girls is always special and never boring!

Things are just moving along in our little family, Jalyssa is enjoying school and doing well. She loves all the socializing and the college life. I am so proud of her. I'm not talking grammar here- although that is a SERIOUS problem (take it from an English teacher). But I'm talking about the way we use words and, particularly, the way we direct our words at each other. To inspire them with the idea of Carpe Diem. We talk carpe diem. With the 9th graders a lot to try to get them to realize that their lives are happening right now and everything they do matters- so don't waste a moment of it! Thursday, October 16, 2008. John just got back from Washington DC and I missed him so much it was like being without one of my limbs. This picture is of him and his best friend, Brent, who used to be his boss in Fillmore. Brent lives in DC now. This week John is in Mississippi for a computer crimes conference. I'm feeling like a single parent these last couple of weeks. I'll be so glad when he's home and doesn't have to travel for a while. I miss him. That is so cool he gets to travel! Singin' In the Rain.

You know, when you go somewhere and people are just making small talk with one another? She was a checker-outer-person at the grocery store (I never know what those people are called.). EVERY SINGLE PERSON who went through her lane responded and opened up to her friendly chatter! I KID YOU NOT! What a lovely thing to be!
