Open Source Civic EV Kit: September 2009
http://civic-ev.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Open Source Civic EV Kit. Saturday, September 5, 2009. New Vacuum Pump and Fixed Wiper System. Sorry folks, no pictures today. I'm taking this long weekend to just relax and get some things done around the house while avoiding the crazy Labor Day weekend traffic. I'm all ready for the long rainy winter here in Portland. On a more relevant note to you EV folks, I also spent most of the day replacing my old Gast Vacuum pump and vacuum chamber with an MES 70/6E Swiss-made vacuum pump from MetricMind. With t...

Just Another EV Conversion: February 2015
http://justanotherevconversion.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Just Another EV Conversion. Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Just six years and forty thousand miles. It's been a while since I've posted anything EV related on this blog. Mainly this is due to nothing interesting to post. The EV Saturn Vue has been basically trouble free for the last several years. Other than a loose tach wire here, a dead 12V battery there, and new tires there has been nothing to keep it off of the road. At that point I plan on taking the Vue out of service. Though it works perfectly fi...

Just Another EV Conversion: July 2009
http://justanotherevconversion.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Just Another EV Conversion. Sunday, July 19, 2009. Not to be confused with barely legal :-). This week marked a milestone for the Electric Vue. I was finally able to get the safety inspection sticker required by the state. The Vue now has over 1500 miles on it and is still working fine. Below is a picture of the battery box in the rear of the vehicle (giant poodle optional component). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Electric Vehicle Discussion List. View my complete profile.

Just Another EV Conversion: April 2009
http://justanotherevconversion.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Just Another EV Conversion. Monday, April 20, 2009. Just read the instructions. The new CV boot arrived on Friday just in time for a weekend repair. Replacing the CV boot required removing the right front axle. So out comes the handy dandy factory service manual.volume chassis.section suspension.subsection front suspension."Replacing CV Boot FWD Right Front". Having removed the other end of the axle earlier in the conversion I expected that the axle should slide right out or maybe need a little bit of pr...
