Kamis, 20 November 2008. Monty Are I - Wall Of People (2006). Getting right down to it, the biggest problem with the Stolen Transmission debut from Monty Are I is the lack of new songs. That new-car smell applies to CDs too, and those who enjoyed the band’s 8-song debut, The Red Shift. Might not find Wall of People. As appealing as first-time listeners. Six of the eleven songs are taken from The Red Shift. Combats that stereotype to some success, although a few holes in their recorded performance remain.

Produced by Cameron Webb, the album showcases a variety of tempos, speeds, and compositions. Tracks such as the opener, “A Great Fire,” strike hard and often, while others slow down the pace to create strong crescendos, with “You’re All I Have” being a prime example. Is a showcase of a band continuing their journey on reaching their full potential. You know you wanna give Shipwreck.

Sabtu, 17 Januari 2009. The Year Ends In Arson - Vessels (2009). In Fear And Faith - Your World On Fire (2009). Rise Records has a way with surprising me with their early January releases. While the whole metalcore scene doesn't exactly coincide with my usual musical preferences, I try to give everything a fair shot, and early last year I was rewarded with For the Fallen Dreams' Changes. And the now-defunct Here I Come Falling's Oh Grave, Where Is Thy Victory. The follow-up to their late-2007 EP Voyage.

Influences from The Flaming Tsunamis, Folly, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Link 80, Comeback Kids, Four Year Strong. They mixed Punk, Hardcore, Emo, Ska to get their music. The Years Gone By- Forever Comes Too Soon (2008). Debut full length, surely exceeds expectations. Super catchy, yet still edgy, the album is full of hooks and sing alongs.
