http://www.christopher.willman.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 31, 2014. First Day of School. Happy First Day of School! This is the first year Chris and Sam have gone to school together. We got Chris a Batman backpack, and he found some blue shoes at the store, that light up blue. Blue is his favorite color. He was very excited to be able to show his brother around. He was serious about his job as Sam's protector. He is going to do a great job of looking out for his little brother. They couldn't wait for school to start! This one really got me. To pr...

Christopher Willman: September 2014
http://www.christopher.willman.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Last Friday was The Dog Dash at Christopher's School. Sam was home sick, so Daddy stayed home so I could go and cheer and support the kids. I have been Blessed enough to cheer for Chris at this event every year! I brought Chris to school, since his race was first thing, so I got to go to class with him, and just be with them before they went outside to get started. And the whole class perks up and yells, "Hoosiers! Then is Quiet. Works like a charm. And they were Tough! Chris...

Friday, April 24, 2015. Mommy is normally the one who gets to go to the Belt Promotions. But this time, Mommy wasn't home. So all the Boyz got to go to Chris's belt promotion. Christopher got promoted to 2nd Degree Brown Belt. He had just moved up a level from Advanced Shodan. And Shihan bumped him up a level too. Then this week, he graduated Advanced Shodan, and learned a new Kata, and moved up to Level 1 all on the same historic day. Very impressive. I am very proud of him! I'm proud of all of them.

Saturday, January 31, 2015. We took the boys to the Pinewood Derby for scouts this evening before the snow hit. And they had Gold, Silver, and Bronze podiums, for the trophy winners. Now, I'll write all about how Christopher did, when I get a chance, but if you ask me,. All my Boyz are winners. Posted by Cathy Willman. I'm a little bit behind, but better late than never. Here is my Week 2 Crochet a long, it's looking very pretty. But I am definitely gonna need more yarn! Time to go on a yarn run! The boy...

Blooming Where Planted: November 2014
http://www.cathy.willman.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. I got Plenty to Be Thankful For! You know that song from Holiday Inn? Bing Crosby is singing, I got plenty to be Thankful For, as he's staring at a Thanksgiving turkey? Well, it's one of my favorites. I try to watch Holiday Inn every Thanksgiving.or at least soon thereafter. Haven't made it this year, yet. Prompted by the song, and by the month of November ending, I just wanted to jot down some of the things I've been especially Thankful for this month. Why had I never bought i...

Blooming Where Planted: A Trip to the Zoo
http://www.cathy.willman.com/2015/03/a-trip-to-zoo.html
Saturday, March 14, 2015. A Trip to the Zoo. That makes it fun. It was not coat weather. I still had jackets on the kids, it was foggy when we arrived, but it was supposed to shape up later, and it really did! The kids loved standing by the aquariums and watching all the fishies go by. Piper didn't last long, but Jacob could have stayed in that room for a while. Still, whenever Pipes would move, Jake would faithfully follow. They were so adorable looking at the fishies together. Though technically, orang...

Blooming Where Planted: The Jumping Deer Museum
http://www.cathy.willman.com/2015/03/the-jumping-deer-museum.html
Wednesday, March 18, 2015. The Jumping Deer Museum. The weather is getting nicer. And I need to get practicing getting out with the stroller. As we'd been driving by the Zoo last week, Piper had asked to stop at the Jumping Deer. It took me a minute to realize what she was talking about. she wanted to go to the Eiteljorg. Ah, we often call it the Cowboys and Indians Museum, because that's what Chris and Sam called it. But the Jumping Deer Museum is fairly appropriate too. They immediately started playing...

The story of my dissertation fieldwork in Nicaragua. Wednesday, November 29, 2006. The Season of Flowers. First of all: yesterday. Early in the morning as I was scouring the North group core for WB, I ran into the rich gringo landowners. As it turns out, I think I was misinformed. These people are practically kids, and they have no intention of cutting down the forest. It seems like they’re actually just after a Thoreau. More later, thanks for reading. Nicablogua: December 2006
http://nica-blog.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
The story of my dissertation fieldwork in Nicaragua. Tuesday, December 26, 2006. A few of the old Dunlap crowd met up at a P-town cafe called Panache. It was just a small group that could get together: that's me on the left (all glammed up) Amy. And Bryn), Maria, and David. After 3-1/2 hours of non-stop chatter, Rob's head was probably spinning from all of our inside jokes, and we finally managed to tear ourselves away from this reunion. Posted by Melissa @ 7:15 PM. Monday, December 25, 2006. While celeb...

Science" - as seen on a post-it note outside of SL's office. Monday, May 25, 2009. I haven’t written lately for a few reasons. First of all, my life is so mundane right now that it practically bores me to tears just to think about it, much less write about it. And secondly, I feel more and more like some sort of primal mammal that just wants to flee from the herd and gestate in peace and isolation. Less than 3 months to go. Monday, May 18, 2009. Irises, Part 4. These are more like the traditional irises ...
