He has made everything beautiful in its time: October 2009
http://makea-joyfulnoise.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Saturday, October 17, 2009. My Romans 8:28 Day :). T Pain Obama Auto-Tune. Needless to say I have already purchased this app and my roommates and I are now capable of producing some totally sweet raps (and by roommates I mean Sarah and I but I'm sure we'll get the others on board very soon). She was out walking her dogs, so I got to talk to her for a little bit before I headed to take my test, which was really exciting to say the least. Friday, October 9, 2009.

Only You Suffice: May 2011
http://onlyyousuffice.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 17, 2011. That's not the title that I would have originally picked for a post about my MCAT scores. But I can honestly say that this is the only word that is resonating in my mind. Freedom to really follow God's plan. Freedom to discover God's purpose in my life. Freedom to see how His plan is going to play out. How do I know that? So, I have freedom. I have peace. I have excitement to look forward in fulfillment of whatever God's plans might be for my life. And I have faith, a s...I said th...

Only You Suffice: my restless soul...
http://onlyyousuffice.blogspot.com/2011/07/my-restless-soul.html
Saturday, July 23, 2011. My best friend Leslie arrived back home today after being in a very foreign country for over a year. In her return, I am so thankful to be able to give her big hugs and not have to look at a computer screen to see her smile. I can finally pick up a phone and call her. And not worry about time differences. This next month is going to be exciting! He said, "Wait.". So wait. It's not a concept that one really desires to hear when "I want to go now! He is to be praised because He sav...

Only You Suffice: Health
http://onlyyousuffice.blogspot.com/p/health.html
When I was in high school and an avid swimmer and athlete, my year-round swim team had a registered dietitian and nutritionist come to meet with us. He probably talked a lot about this and that.blah blah blah. It was so exciting. And I didn't care. Now that I've been "done" with swimming for over 5 years, the only thing that I remember from this man is his motto, "Make better bad choices.". Make better bad choices? What could that mean? Kind of interesting, no? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Somewhere Over ...

Only You Suffice: 2012
http://onlyyousuffice.blogspot.com/2012/01/2012.html
Monday, January 2, 2012. This isn't going to be the post you think it is. I'm not making resolutions. Continuing to pursue God. Continuing to strive to follow where He leads. Continuing to simplify my life to bring it back to the basics of the Gospel. And I am expecting big things from 2012. Because God's faithfulness in 2011 completely blew me away. A few things that I am anticipating this year:. Meeting my precious niece in April! Graduating from my sonography program in May. Moving out on my own.

Only You Suffice: The Eve of MCAT #3
http://onlyyousuffice.blogspot.com/2011/08/eve-of-mcat-3.html
Thursday, August 18, 2011. The Eve of MCAT #3. This afternoon, I'm a little overwhelmed. You see, I took the MCAT #1 in April 2008. I took MCAT #2 in April 2011. I'm taking MCAT #3 tomorrow. After leaving clinic, I sent out a desperate text to some friends. "I could maybe use some words of encouragement right about now if you have any." I said. This summer has been crazy. I've been in clinic 4 days a week, 32 hours each week, plus about 2 hours commute time each day. I had a 15-page (16.5 pages! The futu...

Only You Suffice: Music
http://onlyyousuffice.blogspot.com/2011/08/music.html
Friday, August 5, 2011. Music has had an increasingly important role in the way I worship. Recently, there have been several songs that just speak volumes about the truth that I believe with my whole heart. I want to share them with you! First, "To Know Your Name" was stuck in my head all week long. I love how the lyrics are the Gospel of Christ. It's such a humbling reminder of how BIG He is and how small we are. Second, "You Won't Relent" is addicting:. Third, "Lead Me to the Cross":. Anyway, this post...

Only You Suffice: December 2012
http://onlyyousuffice.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 3, 2012. For the month of November, I noticed a trend of people on social networking sites writing things for which they were thankful. I decided to join in. Most days, it was easy to determine quickies, but some were harder. Tonight, fetal surgery voting. I am so incredibly thankful for my job! And I will vote tomorrow :). Tonight, I'm thankful for the beautiful sunset that I get to enjoy while standing in line to vote.I'll be even more thankful when I get to go home and eat dinner!

Only You Suffice: March 2011
http://onlyyousuffice.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 21, 2011. Spring Break. I've had one every year since I've been in school - so maybe like close to 20 years now. And I've always really enjoyed them. I love getting the respite from classes and schedules to have a retreat. In college, I used a couple of these breaks to go on missions. And then I felt I needed another week of break to recover from my chosen plans. The trips always exhausted me - but I loved them. However, this year, I feel a profound difference in the break I had last week.
